Remember last season when we went from being relatively decent to being fucking wank? Well here we are again, only worse as we don't have all those points in the bag. Saturday we saw it, tonight it was even worse, we're running on empty because we're not strong enough or fit enough to compete over 90 minutes, in fact make that 60 minutes.

Today, yet again Norwich were fucking terrible. From the off they were panicky at the back, oh so slow in their build up play and any good side would have put them to bed by half time. We didn't, they grew in confidence and without having to do a great deal, ended up winning easily. Sydie ran out of legs at this stage last season, so did O'Hare and they were blowing out of their arse today again. Strangely enough so were Burrows and Seriki but I'd rather have Femi in an iron lung than watch fucking Hoeve again. Lee Baxter, are you out there? We signed your distant cousin!

No idea what the fitness boys do throughout the week but it doesn't work on matchdays, as we start playing lazy balls to lazy players then listen to Wilder tell us it was individual errors and poor decisions that cost us. I slagged him off for playing one up front at the weekend so what does he do? Play fucking Campbell who offers nothing. His subs came at the wrong time and rather than improve us they somehow made us worse. Again, it's like he still doesn't know his squad and if he thinks these boys are giving their all for the shirt then he's wrong.

The goals against were pathetic, old man walks in on a free header and Seriki does a fucking Cruyff turn minus the Cruyff bit. Bad goals but both came because we'd downed tools and given them the front foot. Season's all but done now so start seriously looking at binning the crap and for fucks sake, replace them with players who aren't drawing a pension and who can play ten games without falling to pieces.

UTBFTP 👊👊👊

There's multiple factors:

Some of it irrevocable from pre season. Unless you give Hamer and Campbell 2-3 months off football to get fit you're not getting them to Championship levels of fitness this season after their pre season condition . The rest are a mixed bag. Some are a bit behind because of their own attitude, some are fine as they take their profession seriously and arrived after Selles ok. Bamford also looks like he really looked after himself despite having no club.

Jan signings: It shouldn't need saying in 2026 but clubs that need to sign multiple key players in January are badly run clubs. January is a shocking window in which to bring in players as you either pay top dollar to try and integrate players that are at the required fitness (as they're playing regularly) or you bring in players whose careers are dormant or players who are coming back from long term injury. For the avoidance of doubt this is us for the last x years.

Young lads: Brooks, Seriki, and Peck have played a lot of football. It's catching up with them. You can really see it as games go on. They get a pass from me. Arblaster has had a shocking injury and no pre season and needs building up.

“No idea what the fitness boys do throughout the week but it doesn't work on matchdays”….

They mess about in the gym stretching whilst our social media guy asks em questions about what’s their favourite chocolate bar.

But what is the answer? To the chocolate bar question I mean!

Don't think it was Mars Bars. I'm going for Kit Kat cos the team took a 60 minute break last night.

As we tend to not to bother with the League cup our 1st competitive fixture next season is to start over the weekend of 14-16th August which is a week later than usual with it being the World Cup. With our current squad, although Sweden have got a playoff against Ukraine, Zatterstrom isn't exactly a 1st team starter for us or them. RoI still are yet to qualify and with potentially Cannon in reserve, the World cup isn't going to have a massive impact on our squad over the summer. The season is highly likely to be over for us officially on 2nd May and when Mathematically safe, I would have Faxon starting however even with the 2nd May finish that leaves potentially 15 weeks between finishing and starting the next season. Most years it seems to be the start of July that they go back into pre-season training. Personally, I don't think the squad has deserved to have 8 or 9 weeks off. I would bring them back in mid-June and focus solely on strength and conditioning training from then for 3 weeks, not jetting off to the sun either for it, for a "warm weather training camp" codenamed Operation on the lash. After the intensive fitness training then bring in the coaches to work on the preseason schedule, we also don't need as many games either, yes its nice to visit new grounds but the pre-season schedule seems to be constant 3 games weeks which is exactly an excuse Wilder has used before this season that we get a lot of 3 game schedules.
