1st minute of the game he’s pulled Tanganga up on an attacking corner. Then he’s not sent their player off or awarded a penalty for a blatant foul on Bamford.

He’s also given them a goal kick when the defender clearly slide tackled Seriki in front of the linesman.

The Soumare one was on a par with the challenge on McCallum. Tanganga was sent off because the ref was given the opportunity after he’d accused the ref of pushing him (Tanganga was clearly telling Langford not to put his hands on him after the Soumare red).

Overall it was a complete clusterfuck of a refereeing performance and it completely killed the game. I’d be going nuts if I were Wilder.

That said if we were 3 or 4 nil up like we should have been none of that would have happened.

Everyone could see ref was looking for it

However, for an experienced pro and captain, he should have seen he’s wound the twat up and got to half time to reorganise

Ref was as happy as a puff with 2 pricks when Jaf went in like a bowling ball, daft Jaf for giving Bonnie the chance to send him off

The ref took a dislike to Tanganga because he questioned his decision, mardy little bastard couldn't hack that and the speed with which he got the card out said it all.

Danny Hall is to commentary what he is to reporting and book writing, enough said.

Hall's commentary is listening to his little stories instead of keeping up with the play he talks over it . Perhaps he forgets the action is down the other end . A rank amateur Blades deserve better.

Was he ref for Burnley game last season Boxing Day and another home game cant remember who. The blokes incompetent, Wednesday mate at work said he was the same for their games as well

Soumare was 100% a red card……although accidental after he lost control of the ball. The Tanganga red card was 100% NOT a red card. Ref had got over involved with the emotions of the game at that point and made a really poor quick decision. A foul yes / a yellow card maybe.

My argument for Soumare's red being harsh.
It's not violent. It's not excessive force. It's not reckless. He hasn't deliberately endangered his opponent. It's clumsy and accidental.
I think 2 things convinced the ref but they are not in the rules of the game.
1. The opponent seemed to be badly injured.
2. Soumare had mis-controlled the ball just beforehand. Had it been a loose 50/50 ball that they were both competing for I don't think it looks as bad. The fact that Soumare's mistake has made it a 50/50 has counted against him imo.

As Wilder has said, there wasn't much difference between the tackle on McAllum and the one by Soumare. One a red, the other not even a booking is bollocks.

I need to see it again. Following his poor touch does he still get to the ball first and then land on the opponent's standing foot? If so, it's unlucky more than malicious.

Loose touch, lunges for it, lands on the awkwardly outstretched leg of the Charlton player. Definitely a red but the referee equally made the decision on the outcome.
