Colours & colour blindness

Hopefully rules and guidance are followed this season to help those affected. Is our light purple 3rd kit a bad start, or does it just depend on the opposition kit?

Another derby match that was completely unwatchable for me as it was dark and white striped shirts with plain dark shorts against….. dark and white striped shirts with plain dark shorts.

I turned off after a bit - then watched a bit more after half time, and when the ball fell to Brewster for the goal I had absolutely no idea if it was one of our players or one of theirs.

I turned it off again. Completely pointless watching. What is the point of away kits?

Oh great - we are wearing our home kit again on Sunday. More of the above for 1 in 11 men. FFS!

With 1 in 11 men having some degree of colour blindness it's great to see the FA Cup using an orange "high visibility" winter ball for use on green grass!!! WTF!!??

That is insane!
I have been following this thread with great interest since its conception and am 100% supportive of the argument...I have also mentioned it to many of my football loving friends, however I can only see a team in black versus a team in red in this photo...please enlighten me as a non colour blind affected person as to the issue here...

Certainly can, they all look as if they are wearing exactly the same kit.
Very hard thing to describe!

Yeah that's not great at all.

Someone in shout box (sorry, forgot who) reckoned Everton should've played in blue at Villa. Would've been carnage 😄
Other day Arsenal played in Navy at Forest and the commentator mentioned Arsenal were wearing white socks instead of Navy under colour blind guidelines.

I don't get that at all.

If Navy clashes with Red, why did they enforce socks but not shirts ?

EDIT. Googled it... https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/3794...hange,visual distinction for those supporters.

Bottom one is a 3.

Can barely see anything on top one. Maybe a 9!?

I'm NOT colour blind BTW
These are the ones I failed on during a medical at work a few yrs ago.
Allegedly down to a green deficiency but yet I see the image that was posted earlier of the players in an orange shirt, green shirt and a yellow football perfectly fine 🤔

The differential between the Dortmund shirts and the ref was not much at all yesterday and I'm not even colour blind
