I think both could have been red cards since they were last man, Campbell is through and doesn't need to go down:

Hamer is clearly getting pulled back here as well:

The blatant trip on Gus first half around the half way line and the straight arm smash by the centre forward were both yellows as well.

There was also the right back who had already been booked then pulled someone’s shirt down in front of G&H block of the SS and should have been given a second yellow.

Thankfully we were playing so well none of it mattered but it shows how crap the decisions still are with some of these officials.

A few Lewis' and Smith's about there!
He did our first game of the season against Bristol City. He was being primed in last couple of seasons for promotion to the Premier League and done about half a dozen games in the last couple of seasons but not made it yet.
Interestingly he did the 2-2 draw against Norwich at home in 2022 where he booked 6, and then the 1-1 draw at Carrow Road last season when he booked 7.

Not disagreeing they are fouls however for me be very harsh on red cards for either as rather than being last man, it’s denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity, as we saw with the Pompey red for the handball on the line but here the possession of the ball is in doubt for one in the 2nd one in particular it would be more of a case for a red if the Stoke defender was behind rather than in front.

He was booked to do us a couple of games ago but mysteriously fell ill so did'nt do us,he has now been given the opportunity to do us on Sat.

Thought he refereed that game well - especially booking their diving No7. Although Campbell got away with a slightly less blatant dive late on.

I'm used to teams coming out early for the 2nd half but tonight we came out first and the ref was on the pitch at least a minute before the Leicester players came out. He should have let us kick off

No.7 Fatawu, yes that was well spotted by the ref that.
I thought the ref had a good game. There was one particularly late challenge by Soumaré early on, but the ref gave him a talking to instead of reaching for his book. He got lucky there!

Thought today's ref was hopeless.
Set the tone by blowing for soft challenges early , after that no one knew what he was going to blow for or let go .
He got a fairly easy ride as it was a comfortable win .

Strange physique for a fella too 🤔 .

Didn't he allow a free kick given for offside to be taken in the wrong half?
Law 11: Offside
“If an offside offence occurs, the referee awards an indirect free kick where the offence occurred, including if it is in the player’s own half of the field of play.”

I think the point most people were making is that you can’t be offside in your own half, hence the offence could not have took place from where the free kick was taken.

There's a separate thread on this specific incident which I'll refer you to, but where someone is when a pass is played and where someone is when they might do something in relation to that pass are two different things
