None of the above is at all surprising, Against Boro he gave one of the worst centre back performances I’ve seen since McEverly and Alcock rocked up at CB in that Swindon play off, Tanganga bailed him out time and time again.

The lad is now, at best, fourth choice CB behind Tanganga, McGuinness and Mee. He might even be behind Zätterström and Godfrey. It's fair to say that in bringing in three senior professionals we've realised we've been sold a pup. There's a huge jump in athleticism between League One and the Championship and he's not quick enough either on the turn or over the ground to bridge it.

Maybe Bindon will take the chance that the inevitable injuries and/or suspensions will offer him but I wouldn't be at all surprised if he was sent back to the TSCs in January.

Bindon did very well second half, very solid.

Maybe shows that it easier to come into a team that has good balance and is working, rather than what was happening at the start of the season.
Question is, do we keep him in jan?

With mee out and mcguiness doing his ankle, assume bindon starts on tuesday night now

He played v well, did not miss anything and may have earned a contract.
If he carries on like that it is a no brainer that we have to keep him, young will develop and we know what we are getting.
At least extend the loan, but on that performance we should be looking for permanent assuming the price is right

It will be interesting to see, but he'll be in a much better position to show what he can do now. Selles' line ups with Peck, Hamer and O'Hare in central midfield was suicidal. Bindon's weakness is probably pace, but he'll be more protected now.

Bindon and Tanganga is our best CB pairing by a distance

McGuiness is also a good CB imo

If we are judging players on 5 games under selles we would have to sell 25 players

Bindon is our best CB on the ball is tall fast and athletic he has everything you want in a centre back

Reminds me of John stones very very good footballer

It would be much easier if we could keep him in the squad from Jan. But what we probably most need is someone with Godfrey's profile, who can cover centre back and right back.

Thought he did well, and we may need him in Tuesday if McGuiness and Mee are both injured.

Not sure about that, 2 right footers is not ideal in the centre. I still prefer Tanganga and Mee, also McGuiness showed his worth today at corners.
Saying that I was really impressed with Bindon today.

I won't be judging my centre halves on that second half I'm afraid. We could have put my one year old daughter at the back for a laugh and she'd have been fine.

Bindon has looked way off it every time he's played, and hasn't been deemed good enough for a single minute of football since the first four games of the season (until today, due to a bit of an injury crisis), despite our defence being allover the place. If that's not a waste of a loan space, then I don't know what is.

Understand Bindons looked out of place, and probably won't be here after January, but I think that's a bit harsh on his second half display! Credit were credits due, I thought he played quite well. 👏

Have to say, having derided him all season, I was not confident when he was a half time replacement but he did really well from the first brave header and looked calm, collected, and read the game really well today. Not sure he was under too much pressure but he dealt with everything offered in an assured manner and did himself and the team proud.

Not sure he’ll stay in Jan since he won’t get game time when Mee is fit but in a team not managed by the fuckwit Selles I think the lad can be ok.

Yeah I'm sure that absolute thunderbastard of a shot he blocked wouldn't have caused her anymore brain damage than needed to match your post

By the same logic, is Barry redeemable presumably??
