Dont want to go in on a player or write him off, but he was absolutely lost. It's not so much about making mistakes, it's that he simply makes no clear decision in so many positions. I dont think I have seen anything like it, the amount of times he was just stood a few meters from Tanganga just watching the play. for a young defender you accept there is a lot to learn in terms of reading the game, but you also look for some physical attribute to compensate like pace, height, athleticism ( as with Anel when he joined).

I agree with not wanting to write him off. He did today however look every bit as bad as RND did against Bristol City. If Zatterstrom is anywhere near the level we need him to be I'd take Bindon out of the firing line and give him a rest for a couple of games.

Actually, this is exactly what I thought, it was just like watching RND at Bristol, just Middlesbrough were less clinical. They have a couple of weeks on the training ground now, with Tanganga, but if no other defender arrives, it will be a big call for the Ipswich game.

Absolutely hopeless he was! Slow and soft, at fault for all 3 goals. Then tries to get sent off and has the red card unjustly overturned by VAR. Probably wanted to get suspended to avoid the next trip and keep his place with us. Sydie Peck looked good playing for England under 21s in a proper formation. In fairness to Bindon and Selles - Bindon won Reading's player of the season for 24-25. he must have looked good at that level, sadly not able to make the step up by the looks of it.

Before everyone writes off a young player who was his club's player of the season last year and largely considered one of the best CBs in L1, maybe his poor form for his country is linked to our piss poor start to the season? Lad is 20. Maybe not write him off after 5 games where he had a different back four every game and zero protection from midfield?
