I understand the negative reaction here, but we do need another striker and can't wait until January. I have no idea who else in the free transfer market is available or would even be interested in signing for us on a short term deal at this point.

It's a low risk signing for 6-7 weeks and if he bags a few it might be worth giving him the season.
