It doesn’t matter what we think because wilder will deflect all day long … he’s thinks it’s acceptable so the players will too … there will be no changes for the next game to air and repeat same crap
It will be interesting to see when/if the inevitable relegation happens will he stay around for League 1 football.

In my 35 or so years, the following stand out to me:-

The infamous Port Vale game in front of about 10,000

The Scunthorpe game under Robson

Losing to Fleetwood, yes Fleeetwood

0-8

Today
In the Adkins season we conceded 4 at home to Shrewsbury and 3 at home to Bury, plus the pathetic last day defeat to Scunthorpe. Yes things are bad at the moment but they been much worse not that long ago.

What about the 0-5 v Oldham in January 1988? Billy McEwan's last game. Blades fans were chanting "Woah, you're shit, AHH!!" when our keeper Andy Leaning, who later became our goalkeeping coach, took a goal kick.
This was bad, also remember a league cup game against Stockport that was pretty shit as well, can't remember the year.

The Shrewbury game was in my thoughts when i opened the thread. About as low as i can remembet

Was that the 1-2 loss in (about) 1987?

Agana for us and Keith Cassells and Gordon Owen for them?

One of my first games watching United.

I think it was before then.

Probably early eighties.

There were two kids who had brought a bucket of putty onto the almost deserted kop, and we're balling it up, and throwing it at players.

It was December and snowing.

I wondered what the F**k am I doing here.

A lot like today - minus the putty and snow.

What a thoroughly depressing day (then and now)

We lost 2-1 at home to them in April 1989 but it wasn't THAT bad a performance, just one of those nights and a hiccup on our way to promotion. Funnily enough we got promoted but lost 6 out of 8 games against the four relegated sides, Chesterfield doing the double over us.

Today was as bad as any performance in recent years including EPL.. at least in the EPL, we were there.

There is no other way to look at this and say that I see NO signs that we can pick up this crappy season and stave off relegation.

If we lose on Tuesday, that's it, we aren't coming back to save this season.

Some of the signings have been horrendous...

0-5 at home to Oldham still has me traumatized.
A certain Boxing Day reversal was a pretty bad day too..
Today was a story of unforced errors in Tennis parlance.
Looking at the stats we won every metric except the important one relating to goals scored 😊
Seen much much worse and we might see it on Tuesday.

Seen much worse than today at the Lane.

Scunthorpe 08
Last season, Hull. Hell even the Leeds game was god turd.

Millwall match was probably worse than this earlier. 🤷‍♂️
