FA Cup Final ....

I think most City fans accept Arsenal will be likely winners but reaching the final for the first time is a big deal for us so we're enjoying the ride and the prospect of European football is also a first. As a Yorkshireman, I'd hate Yorkshire not to have a team in the Premier League. Thanks for all the nice comments.

I think it's because, deep down, we all love an underdog - after all, the Blades are usually that! Best of luck v Lucky Arsenal.

I hope we don't nick your best players. Bruce is targetting British players for the academy and early Europa League rounds now. I think you are the only Yorkshire club we buy players from. We loan to Leeds & Wednesday but buy from you. It held City back for years selling their best players so I'm sorry if we take players that would get you promoted.

After that, you can fuck right off! :D

Up the Arse! (Nothing to do with Cyril Smith!) :D

Ive won tickets for the final so I'll be there supporting Hull (hoping im not in the Arse end), as at least then I can say we lost to the winners. Went to the final last year as well, and although I may never see the Blades play in one, it's a great day out from a neutral point of view

Nothing personal but it's neutrals going on freebies that could prevent fans of the finalists missing their chance to see their team. Had we got there approx. 8k fans who were at the semi would have missed out, now they may not go very often but we would rather have them there than competition winners. I

I see Hull were limiting sales to those who went to the Semi, did this apply to season ticket holders who didn't go to save their money? Can just imagine the ructions that would have caused on here.

Enjoy your day out Goodpinchofclough. I just hope it's a good game. The bookies don't give us a chance but being underdogs is something we're used to. There's been a lot of Hull fans saying we need one of the Sheffield teams in the Premier League as getting players to move to the North East is difficult which is why I'm glad Sunderland stayed up.

What's the logic there?

If you offer a footballer lots of money, he'll play football for you. I doubt Huddlestone moved north so he could visit The Deep.

Having just a few week ago watch Arsenal , in third gear despatch Hull 3-0 at the KC stadium I cant see anything but a convincing win for Wenger's side, , and they are due a trophy

You should be minimum top half of Championship every year with the odd Prenier League season.

Complete and utter drivel. Doubt you will be nicking our better players. And we are the only Yorkshire club you buy from? Eh? If you are talking about Quinn, he was a scapegoat for many of our fans and was more or less hounded out of the club...nothing to do with the mighty Hull coming in for him.

Hope you sell more tickets than you did for the semi.

Come on Arsenal!

I want Hull to win but I can see Arsenal winning and it keeping Wenger in a job.

Am I alone in finding all this bollocks more than a little patronising? Hull City must have enjoyed the easiest route to the final in the history of the FA Cup and are in Europe by default. The OP seems to have allowed himself to be carried away on the wave of euphoria, so much so that he seems to think he is supporting one of the Premier Leagues elite?

The reality is that Hull City's Premier League status can best be described as fragile, they have no academy to speak of and the whole infrastructure is dependent on the whim of an individual who has shown himself to have little understanding or regard for the interests of supporters or the game itself.

Sheffield Uniteds set up is light years ahead of Hull City, we are now on a firm financial footing, have a successful sensible manager and a top academy developing players for the first team. Sheffield is geographically superior enabling us to attract the supporters and players necessary to maintain a successful side, a Hull is a shit hole with half of its catchment area being the North Sea.

'I hope we don't knick your best players' 'So I'm sorry if we take players that would get you promoted' are you for real? Harry Maguire would rather stay at Bramall Lane and Steven Quinn had to be forced out of the door. I predict now that our relative positions in the football pyramid will see us above you within five years, so take your 'we'll meaning' comments, enjoy your day in the sun but with the greatest of respect, Fuck off!

Clearly you are not alone, from the 'likes' you are getting. I can't say I really understand what the problem is, though.

Are we really so unable to deal with our own under-achievement that we just can't handle communicating with a fan of a smaller club which is doing better than us at the moment? 'Hull City Fan' comes across to me as entirely genuine and has approached us in a way which has been nothing but friendly and complimentary towards our club and fans. If a few of the things he says are phrased in a way which comes across as a little patronising to our sensitive selves, aren't we mature enough to overlook that and take it in the spirit in which it is meant?

Personally I find it painful having to watch Hull City Fan returning and overlooking the rudeness of a few, picking out just the friendly responses to refer to, only to be met again with more abuse from some. I recognise that some of it is tongue in cheek, but some of it isn't. We're coming across like billy-big-bollocks Blades who think our club is too massive for us to have to talk to fans of tiny clubs like Hull.

I'm all for fierce rivalries in football, and love the banter of the terrace songs about opposing clubs, but having a go at one fan who comes on our forum to be friendly seems pretty low.

We're not having a go at that guy specifically. We just want Arsenal to win.

Obviously we're all entitled to our opinion. Mine was that HCF's tone was patronising, and suggested that Utd are but minnows in comparison to the mighty Hull City.

I don't like fans of other clubs suggesting my team is the inferior of theirs and if HCF thought such assertions would be warmly received by all, then they are extremely naive and a bit silly too, no offence.

I had the best (and biggest) fish and chips with a few bits ever from a chipole on the Analby Rd in Hull once. The car stank for a bit and I nearly went to sleep driving back on the M62 but it was worth it. It was the night Walker made his debut.

I've an idea I might be revisiting that place in the not too distant future when United next play Hull in the league. Which division though?

Until then, best of luck Hull, burp

Best post in thread so far.

I agree with WorkingtonBlade. You're all very touchy about this and coming across quite nastily to a bloke who's just come here to chat us up. Let the fella enjoy his moment in the sun. Can you imagine the euphoria if we'd won at the semi last month? Just calm down, you look like schoolboys.

Can I call you BBB from now on then? ;)

I've just got back from a day trip to Hull and the word there is that the Met have already put the road closed signs in place for Arsenal's celebration parade on Monday.

If that's true I really hope they lose.

Arrogance almost of porcine proportions

Right. I'll get out of your forum now and wish you luck for the coming seasons. I doubt the final will be a patch on our semi which was universally regarded as a great match, which I think it was. Shame our fans are quieter than yours

This Hull fans seems a nice bloke but I don't feel obliged to suck his cock, the Hull fans, generally, were a pretty dismal bunch at Wembley, and I hope Arsenal win tomorrow.

Cheers mate, I hope you have a great day - a last-minute Hull winner bouncing in off an ice cream-seller's arse would suit me just fine.

I don't think it's necessary to actually suck his cock. Just some affectionate fondling of his balls should be sufficient.

It is possible to be too welcoming.
