Hi,

The Swedish 19 year old who played against the Blades in the cup (and did well) has been released. He did not feature much under the new manager but I would really like to see him in an United shirt.

I doubt he would drop down to league1 but who knows?

He was called up to the national team against Turkey based on his performances before Magath stepped in. Of course he has talent and he's only 19 and has forced himself in to a Premiership side (yes, they got relegated but that does not say he is shit)

I thought he was one of the only ones that turned up at Bramall Lane of the Fulham team - had a touch of class about him and set up the equaliser well. In the replay though he was as bad as the rest of them.

He's not a striker, but a player that likes to play just behind the front two, and we arguably have a few competing for that sort of role next season already in the squad.

Our deep defending and Fulham's Weir'esque tactics in the replay didn't make it easy for him to impress, we gave them very little room. There are plenty of young players who'll be released from Premiership clubs, but who could be of interest to us.

I felt there was too much positivity so thought I should put an ultra negative post just to redress the balance. I think every single young player we've signed has gone through similar levels of negative comments.

Serious thought now: if he's prepared to work hard and drop his wages to league 1 level so that he can rebuild his career then I'm sure he'd be worth a look.

I'm not sure it's such a drop for him, he's been released from a Championship side afterall

Amen to that. Instead of the usual 'he wouldn't drop down to League One' etc. there's loads of good, young players shitting themselves about their future.

It's make your mind up time for many of these players. Stick where you are but on the bench/in the stands? In a few months, you'll be forgotten about.

United are becoming a very desirable destination.
