For kicking the ball at a hoarding in frustration!!! A red card???!?? FFS, it's a football match not a Chess match.

Did he hit the ball at someone or into the ad boards?

I saw him trying to get Japhet off the pitch and then the next minute I see Wilder getting a red card.

Like many others when you saw him ushering off the players and getting them down the tunnel I expected something to happen but from a player. Then he got them all off and the incident happened. However this was not a full smash of the ball into the crowd, it was a lazy swing at a loose ball that unluckily went into the crowd. I don’t even think it was really done in anger it was just the ball was there and he was thinking about his half time team talk. I am no Wilder fan boy and honestly the jury is out on whether his return is right or wrong but this was careless not malicious. Hope the old bloke it hit is ok though.

Wilder is frustrating. He usually gets the formation right and the starting XI more often then not is relatively close to ideal, but the football still isn't good enough. No attacking patterns, no creativity. It almost feels like he wants the players to figure it out themselves. Problem is, we only have one Gus Hamer and he can't win you games on his own every week.

Hamer has been terrible this season, he couldn’t win a round of rock, paper, scissors currently let alone a football match.

He has and that's a big part of the problem because our football depends so much on him and his moments of brilliance.

That's why I was hopeful Selles could bring a change and have this team attack more as a unit, not depending on one player. But he was the wrong guy for that.

It was a definite penalty anyway - Coops nowhere near the ball and clumsily took out their man.
Doesn't need to be deliberate - clumsy will do for a penalty
It was never a penalty. it was a shocking decision from the ref. nearly all the refs decisions were terrible tonight, the guy has only refed in league 2, way to much for him to handle.

Unnecessary, yes. But anyone claiming this is "assault" needs to give their heads a wobble. Claiming such simply trivialises actual assault...I miss the days of sensible discourse when assault was actual assault and not some fanny merchants whining!!

Exactly, we were 1-0 up, they've just missed a penalty. What fuck is he thinking? Just get straight down the tunnel like you're so good at.
But it has to be all about him though doesn’t it! He’ll say “it’s because I care” that’s bollocks. What example is he setting, to his players and young fans. If a player had done that and got a red everyone, including Wilder would be tearing them to bits for being unprofessional. The man is a hot headed idiot who is already one step towards the door…..again.

I see Wilder wasn’t man enough to front the media , passing an opportunity to publically apologise, he instead sends Alan Corpse out. How vain is this man, lose and he’s straight off, win and he’s in every media outlet going 😡
Wait for him to start blaming players for the results. If we lose next game…….

Cooper also pelted the ball into an advertising hoarding in the 2nd half in an act of petulance after he'd miscontrolled a ball and let it out for a corner.
If it had have hit someone in crowd, should he have been sent off? Would that have been "assault"?
Even the fact that it didn't, he still did the same thing as Wilder angrily kicking the ball in the direction of the crowd when play had stopped. Surely a red?
Cooper kicked the ball against the advertising board where I believe no fans are based, Mardy Wilder kicked it into a stand full of people where the odds on hitting someone are very short even with an odds boost.
Now I have seen the Wilder tufty club try and excuse this by saying you go to a football match there is a chance you are going to get hit by the ball. We'll yes there is but during the match most people are facing the pitch so have a chance to put their hands up to stop or catch the ball, when the Ref has blown for half time lots of people turn around and talk to people or look down at their phones not expecting a ball to come flying at them especially in the South Stand.

The tone it sets the players is what really pisses me off. It's petty and unprofessional. No surprise either that all 3 of our yellow cards yesterday were for dissent. It was the same last season.

Moving on from the kicking the ball into the crowd incident.

Wilder constantly telling us that a basic for a Blades player is 'to run around' is becoming a little tiring.

What I saw last night was our players unable to press theirs and Southampton being more than capable of pressing us.

We gave them all the time in the world to keep possession and play as they wished.

Our 'running around' is not really effective.

No. He's an obsessed Wilder hater.

Maybe some of us just don’t rate him as much as you do. To be fair you are a bit obsessed with him, I just think he’s a one trick pony. Didn’t want him back the 2nd or 3rd time: he’s not the same guy we got the first time.

Are you a lawyer specialising in football ground accidents? 😃👍
Lawyers don't specialise in 'football ground accidents'

They specialise in how others actions have a direct and unwanted effect on others, putting it simply.

Where it takes place is, largely, irrelevant if it involves harm being caused to another.
