For those who keep saying that Wilder failed at Boro, he was there for 11 months (in his 2nd month he won the EFL Championship Manager of the Month Award) (admittedly results later were inconsistent)

His 'failure' at Watford consisted of the last 10 matches of the season in charge which fulfilled his short term contract.

One or two noises knocking around now saying it's sorted.

I personally wanted a change after last season, not just because of the play off final result, but just thought that we were lacking ideas in quite a few of the games last season.

But, if he is coming back, then I wish him all the best and hopefully he can get a few quick wins in the bank to lift the mood and see where it goes from there?

If it is Chris that is 100% the best solution. The owners are green. But for me they have shown intent with Tangy. Chris will plough back in and steady the ship. Mid table this year and owners can have time to learn.

I keep saying not to go back to your ex, but then when you’ve been on a long dry spell and your ex shows up at your door…

I said never again but she’s here, you know what you’re gonna get (and she’s got a great arse to be fair) think it’s time she was invited in for a coffee…

Sorry what thread is this? Something about Wilder coming back, yeah guess it’d be ok

Not sure the owners have given up just yet TBH (mid table finish wise), but I agree, a play off push would be an extremely good effort from here.

I would be optimistic that CW would at least finish mid table as well though TBH.

If someone could wave a magic wand and make us get 92 points every season and sometimes go up, with the caveat being the style of football is going to be exactly the same as last season, that would be the point at which I would bow out. I go to football to be entertained not watch a number increase on a board

I go to football to watch United win. So I want Wilder back.
I don’t care about style of play. Give me boring 1-0’s if it gets us the 3 points.

His mates will have you believe that’s the only choice. Wilder for a third time or Selles, when in fact there’s dozens of managers out there. The only reason he came back the second time was because Abdullah could t be arsed looking for someone and Wilder had been agitating for weeks about coming back.

What if Wilder can’t turn it around? He couldnt in 20/21, he couldn’t at Boro, he couldn’t at Watford, he couldn’t when he took over from Hecky.

Take his name off the CV and it’s the last manager you’d appoint, but because it’s cwissy and we’re a tinpot club we can only have bladey blades working at the club.

The CV that has a 9th place premier league finish, a promotion from the champ and 93 points lin the champ ast season?

Yeah shit CV that.

It's fine not wanting him back like, whatever, but why the bollocks.

Each to their own, if you want to spend your saturday afternoons being bored stiff then that's up to you but I'm at a point where I'd just rather do much more exciting things. Yes the whole point is going up but let's be honest we're gonna get rodgered every week in the Premiership so I'd at least like to be entertained on the road to the inevitable weekly dry bumming

Right now - make no mistake we are in real danger of playing in League 1 next season!

The chance of a new expansive new approach has been blown by COH due to their woeful appt of Selles! Right now we need stability, leadership & structure. We need to start grinding out results to get out of trouble. Wilder is ironically perfect for this challenge……plus he will have no money to spend - which also a good thing as he does much better with a low budget/wheeling dealing.

It is if your in the public eye taking the piss out of a fellow professional doing the same job It’s unprofessional
Do it behind closed doors if you wish
It was in a privately rented room in a pub, so that's ok then because the doors were closed.
It only become known due to social media
staining his employers and customers profile to the whole world nah
Wow. I thought it was Hillsorough that was the stain.

Were you bored at both the play off semi finals?

For the record I do want Wilder back. Yes I thought it was time for a change. No I didn't have any suggestions in mind for his replacement, nor was I impressed with the appointment of Selles. I think Wilder would steady the ship and I would like him back for that reason. We can't afford to get rid of Selles and take a chance on someone new hoping they're some revolutionary who's gonna turn us into Real Madrid
