I thought the same.A name that’s just occurred to me, and would be cruelly funny, is Tom Watson from Brighton - not getting in the premier league squad but scored last night vs Oxford in the cup
Isn't that the guy who scored the winning goal at Wembley?A name that’s just occurred to me, and would be cruelly funny, is Tom Watson from Brighton - not getting in the premier league squad but scored last night vs Oxford in the cup

I agree with no further development signings as we have enough through our academy and what we have on the quota for a few seasons now. We don't necessarily need a new coach if Selles is working with the board and the players to pick a system that works, we potentially have a strong CB pairing now arguably either a back 3/5 or 4 it is about giving Hamer the chance to shine and the chances to Ings and Campbell in the box.Mee, Tango, CM and CF - no further development signings, all must be able to come straight in and challenge the first 11. Selles ball has gone for me, sign players now that a new coach can try and get a structure/spine through the team with until Jan, then see where we're at? It may be a time then to sell Gus, etc depending on league position, etc and start slowly trying to build a new identity from there, with a coach with an obvious plan/vision.
T-Blade suggested we were after 2x wingers, one of which he was excited by. Not sure if it's the same winger, but he also said his club play in Red/White stripes....
So, who is it/was it?
Brentford
Southampton
- Kevin Schade
- Keane Lewis-Potter
- Gustavo Nunes
Stoke
- Tyler Dibling - joined Everton last week
- Ryan Fraser
- Ben Brereton-Diaz
- Cameron Archer - not really a winger
Sunderland
- Million Manhoef
- Lewis Koumas - Liverpool youngster joined Birmingham last week
Unless we're looking at Nico Williams and Antoine Griezmann from Bilbao and A. Madrid?!?
- Patrick Roberts
- Wilson Isidor
- Romaine Mundle
- Ian Poveda
- Eliezer Mayenda
- Tom Watson - Now at Brighton
T-Blade - without telling us if you can't, is the player you were talking about listed above?
Problem with Barry is he beats a man then stops so he can beat him again. Just beat the man and do something that doesn't involve using that non existent left foot.
Supposedly he was an expensive loan that didnt really produce as value for moneyI wouldn't mind getting Rak-Sakyi back and playing him more regularly.
Franz Carr eas like that too! I was gutted when he left after relegation in 94 because he had some class about him. In my view Harry should have played Flo right wing/forward because he could really cross a ball could Flo and he played right forward for Norway.Shades of Peter Beagrie, though he was all left peg and no right.
I think Poveda the most likely!T-Blade suggested we were after 2x wingers, one of which he was excited by. Not sure if it's the same winger, but he also said his club play in Red/White stripes....

Could be BBD if its red and white stripes although I'm not sure he's one to get excited about.I think Poveda the most likely!Mundle is injured I think and spent most of last season injured. It's not going to be Mayenda or Isidor that's for sure!
"Red & white stripes winger" was someone playing in the Championship.
A permanent deal couldn't be made because the selling club wanted too much.
So probably Million Manhoef at Stoke?
The player we've moved onto is a loanee from a PL club.
Not sure if T-Blade described them as exciting but said it's reasonably close and name would likely be out by the end of the week.
3rd top scorer, second in scoring frequency minutes.Supposedly he was an expensive loan that didnt really produce as value for money
That was my thinking. BBD scored a few goals that probably mask how ineffective he was- a complete shadow of the player we had in the previous season.3rd top scorer, second in scoring frequency minutes.
For some reason a completely ineffective BBD replaced him
I've just seen a link to BBD. I'd still take him myself. But the id rather he play left and Barry on the right.Could be BBD if its red and white stripes although I'm not sure he's one to get excited about.
I’m not sure I craved Rak Sakyis return as much as I did Mcatee’s after his spell with us. He was good & clearly those numbers are strong, but is there any big games last season you saw he tear an opponent apart? Did he ever take a game by the scruff of the neck and win it for us.3rd top scorer, second in scoring frequency minutes.

There were a few games (Oxford away, Millwall home come to mind) where we were doing absolutely nothing. He came on and we had multiple chances within minutes. I know we still lost but he made a huge difference and actually gave us a chance.I’m not sure I craved Rak Sakyis return as much as I did Mcatee’s after his spell with us. He was good & clearly those numbers are strong, but is there any big games last season you saw he tear an opponent apart? Did he ever take a game by the scruff of the neck and win it for us.
Having said all the above, he’s better than what we’ve currently got so I’m not sure what I’m expecting!
if its bbd he has to be played on the left if we carry on with 433 interesting suggestion though about moving barry to the right side would be even more interesting imo with godfrey seriki and barry on that side burrows hamer and bbd down the leftI've just seen a link to BBD. I'd still take him myself. But the id rather he play left and Barry on the right.
Other way round Beagrie, all right foot, just like Barry.Shades of Peter Beagrie, though he was all left peg and no right.
