This is the beauty of the Championship. It really is a case of anything is possible.

Your suggestion isn't crazy like people are suggesting. It won't take much.

On the flip side, we lose Hamer and Campbell, no one is replaced. We play A. Davies as a makeshift sweeper as we are so short of players and Billy Sharp is brought in in JLT to try and get some goals on the way to relegation.

That first half against Bristol shows that with a more solid defence we can and will win more than we lose. We could have easily gone in 3 - 1 up at half time. Sumare is an excellent addition. I like him and think he will only get better. Blaster is coming back. We need a big fuck off centre half, a decent ball playing centre half and a proper right back allowing for Seriki to play impact parts bombing forward. Add Tom Davies to the mix and we aren't that different to last seasons 92 points team. Hopefully if we are showing promise there might be some strengthening in January too.

There is enough there to work on. I'm not talking taking the league by storm, I'm talking upper mid table and and a late surge for that 6th spot. Kin ell, even the pigs were in with an outside shot of the play offs last season with 8 games to go. Have faith, it can be done and, as I said, it's our turn this season!

Exactly mate. And if we sign these players and Selles still isn't doing the business then by mid Nov he's gone and we get another shot at it with a new manager and a team very similar in quality to the team of last season. Don't get me wrong, I hope Selles can turn it around, but my point is, whatever, there will still be time for us to snatch a play off place and (here's where my smidgin of superstition comes in) the football gods to finally grant us salvation!

Coventry showed last season - after 10 games, w2, d2, l6. joint 2nd from bottom, 1 point off bottom.

Forest 21/22 season - after 10 games, w2, d2, l6. joint 2nd bottom, 2 points off bottom.

There are numerous examples of this. We do not have a shit side. We are 4/5 half decent first team players away from having a very competitive team.

These owners might have been fuckin stupid so far, but they have invested a huge sum already. No way are they going to risk blowing the lot by not spending say £8-10m now.

Have faith my blade brothers and sisters. This is our year and boy are we going to enjoy that journey back up the M1

See my post #26 above mate. Loads of examples of teams who've started like a bag of shit and ended up turning it around. In fact, we almost did it in 21/22 too ...... that last second of extra time save off the last millimetre of leather on the goalies boot from N'diaye at Forest!

We are not a bad side. We need strengthening and I believe we will be. We need a manager to turn it around and if it's not Selles then we will still have time to do it.

Oh, and I'm superstitious .......... it's our turn!
