He was and he also came on for the last 20 mins. BBD was also on the bench but he didn't get on.Would have expected Archer to be on the bench at least.

Yeah I agree with that, we definitely need to be aiming for top 6, but I'm surprised by just how far away we are squad quality wise from them and Ipswich particularly. Leicester also for all their faults still have Fatawu. There's time for it to change more in our favour, but yes, they are strong, and to finish above them we'd have to find a similar grinding consistency to last season. Big ask now, but there's no way we shouldn't be aiming at that part of the league
He was sorry I meant starting XI not squadWould have expected Archer to be on the bench at least.
well if the rumours are to be believed this could well be the case also rumours that selles coaching staff not popular either and it certainly looks like the players are not exactly busting a gut for selles have to say i was still quite optimistic of a response yesterday from last saturday's debacle and thought we could win but it was the complete opposite at least half the team just didnt look interested its getting worrying already selles could well be gone in a couple of games if things dont pick upThe players look like they are responding to Selles like the England squad did to Capello. They clearly don’t like his ideas and maybe don’t like him as a person. I’d be surprised is Selles lasts until the end of September.
Charlton for me then. There is more of the same to come >
“But we are going to be honest, we are going to work hard
, we are going to persist in what we do
, and we are going to give it 100 per cent.

I may have been seeing things but Archer came on today. That said, look at Southampton's bench vs our starting XI. BBD and Archer didn't even make the squad.
To be that far away in terms of quality is absolutely mind boggling.
I meant starting XII may have been seeing things but Archer came on today.
Maybe so, but in fairness to him, he needs at least 6/7 more players....which with this shower who owns us he ain't going to get, theve hung him out to dry!8 games to go, but early signs are that the job is too big for him. He’s only been managing first team football since November 2022.
Even if the rumours are true (a big if) it doesn’t mean the players are right and Selles is wrong. Look at the cult of personality Wilder has amongst the fanbase, now imagine how amplified that would be within the club. It could be that certain players and stuff were comfortable with how things were, and any change, no matter how logical, would be resisted.well if the rumours are to be believed this could well be the case also rumours that selles coaching staff not popular either and it certainly looks like the players are not exactly busting a gut for selles have to say i was still quite optimistic of a response yesterday from last saturday's debacle and thought we could win but it was the complete opposite at least half the team just didnt look interested its getting worrying already selles could well be gone in a couple of games if things dont pick up
So you think the senior players are stitching him up?Even if the rumours are true (a big if) it doesn’t mean the players are right and Selles is wrong. With a close knit group such as footballers, it only takes a couple of senior players (ones that perhaps now find themselves on the bench) to stir the pot and sew division. Speaking as someone that came to manage a team whom had worked together for years and free to do what they wanted, I know first hand how suspicious and toxic towards any new personnel or ideas established groups can be.
No, not necessarily. Firstly, I’m not sure I even believe the rumours, it reeks of someone stirring shit for clicks. Secondly, even if there is discontent, there’s multiple explanations to go along with “because he’s crap”. As I tried to explain, a well-established group’s resistance to any sort of change is a well established psychological phenomenon. So you think the senior players are stitching him up?
I’m going through this at the moment and don’t know if that’s what’s making me a bit more sympathetic to Selles struggles. The lot I’ve got here get the right sulk on when you ask them to maintain the most basic of standards.Speaking as someone that came to manage a team whom had worked together for years and free to do what they wanted, I know first hand how suspicious and toxic towards any new personnel or ideas established groups can be.
I sympathise! I basically had to break the culture. Partly through accepting I was going to be the villain, but mainly by recruiting new people into the team and evolving the culture organically. Feels like Selles (and you!) might need to do the same.I’m going through this at the moment and don’t know if that’s what’s making me a bit more sympathetic to Selles struggles. Can see signs of the same with some of the players like Campbell & Robinson.
How come Swansea cleared a shot off the line if it wasn’t on target? And we played yesterday and had no shots on target and lost. Again,
Dunno, maybe it was off target and deflected toward the net...How come Swansea cleared a shot off the line if it wasn’t on target?
Cooper was sounded out about the job. He won't be coming here, and likely wouldn't ever touch us with a bargepole.I was 100% Wilder out and I stand by that completely.
If he wants to come i would ride my BMX to wherever he is and give Steve Cooper a backie to BDTBL today.
Selles isn't up to it.

To be honest I would take staying up or getting promoted by goal difference, not bothered about the style of play its the points and the + & - at the end of the season that counts.Hull only stayed up on goal difference Hull fan posted it was dross and tactics when he was there.
I think they are. The players are much better than they are showing. We saw that last season. So you think the senior players are stitching him up?
