Tried to keep my powder dry but it’s becoming more and more evident they’re either absolutely brassic, or they have zero/no understanding of football. They either need to invest pronto, or sell up. Understand they’ve spent big money buying us, then buying Cannon (lol) but one swallow does not make a summer. Especially when said swallow is appallingly bad at every aspect of football.

Enjoyed Wembley on the back of Wilder’s coat tails.

Now making decisions and showing how clueless they are.

Such an unimpressive start.

Either show you’re serious about running a football club with engagement and proactivity or sell up.

Maybe football is not for you.

I honestly am struggling to be positive. Maybe Saturday will be different.....nah. The next 2 weeks will be huge for the future of the club. I hope they are working on some reyt talent coming in that will shock and amaze us all......nah
Don't hold your breath pal!

I'd say they are struggling to understand football as they want to follow a model but no idea how to go about it. If I was Bettis I would be saying they need a few more football people on board at the club.

Get some players in or fuck off.

This is our club we love, not your toy.

This planning is worse than the premier league season with Hecky, what the fuck are you actually playing at?
If they think we’re going to be as passive as the other lot and let them drag us down the leagues they’re in for a shock….

I can’t comprehend why they bought us to not invest, if they have cash we are seriously crying out for a director of football. There’s zero football knowledge across the club, a bit like the spine of the team that’s been crippled by sales and not replacing quality loans….

If you can’t invest SELL UP!

When you talk about them selling up, have they actually bought the club outright yet?

I think purchase was based on payments? Look well if they’re even struggling to make payment especially as there are rumours of consortium upheaval?

I consider myself a pragmatic, optimistic and patient supporter, but I'm starting to lose confidence with our new owners.

Communication is non-existent. Our slow and lacklustre transfer activity is deeply troubling. The squad is in desperate need of strengthening. Our defence in particular is threadbare. Sellés needs support—he's being hung out to dry.

THAT SAID. Bristol City and Birmingham City are very tough opening fixtures. Settled teams, with no shortage of quality. Out for revenge in Bristol's case; lots of momentum in Birmingham's. There's plenty of time for us to turn it around. A handful of quality additions and we could be a very different proposition. Oh, and hurry up and get that new training ground built.

They backed Wilder in January and the new season has barely started.

How COH can be written off at this point, I’ve no idea.

Looking at the squad, look at our defence. What's your thoughts mate?

And then consider we sold Souza a month and a half ago, for a nice fee.

Why are we so bare? Is that not their fault? They wanted to sign a CB, but then remembered they'd signed too many ESC players. Cue a comedy oops let's move one of the signings to Scotland, to get this other CB in who can't get a game for his current team.

I think you're being kind to not see the chaos. There's obvious, blatant cause to think they should have done more to this point, this season.

We’ve played two average teams and conceded 6.

We’re supposed to be one of the promotion favorites and were in the Premier League not long back.

People are rightly concerned of the direction of travel.

What’s worse is we can’t even tell if the manager has got his tactics right or not because he hasn’t been given anywhere near the right tools and the season has already begun.

I’m surprised Bettis is allowing this to happen. This isn’t his first rodeo by any means.

We need to sign players, but the window hasn’t closed yet, so still time to build a squad capable of competing.

Do you honestly think that Selles, Bettis and COH think everything is fine and aren’t trying to sign players?

Concerned, yes I agree, no one is suggesting there isn’t any reason for concern. But a lot of the reactions on here are way over the top, anyone would think our squad is worse than Wednesday’s.

There is time to sort this all out, if the two players Selles suggested might sign this week are signed then followed by a win at Swansea this place will be much more happier. It really won’t take a huge amount to get on track.

Wilder fucked up at Wembley but anyone expecting us to finish above those Leeds and Burnley teams is deluded
I am not sure why on 28 Mar 2025 we were top of the league after beating Coventry with 7 games to go however some how managed to lose to Oxford, Millwall, Plymouth and drew with Blackburn. We could have still lost to Burnley if we have had won the games on paper that we should have done and would have gone up in 2nd, with Leeds on 100 and us on 101

Awful. We sold Souza over a month ago, we needed a centre half then and we would have been 100 per cent aware of interest in Anel and the likelihood of him going to further weaken the back line, yet we've not even looked like signing anyone there, in fact there are stronger rumours that we are selling defenders rather than signing them.

COH appear to have bought in expecting promotion and a quick return on their investment. When it hasn't happened and they've seen the cost involved with just sustaining a club at this level they've baulked, sold senior pros (which I get we need to or you end up like them lot) but not replace them at all. It's disastrous - even the likes of fucking Millwall, Preston and Derby who aren't exactly rolling in cash can sign decent, experienced or strong standard defenders. Fucking joke of a club.

I don't think Selles thinks it is. I don't throw him in with the ownership at all, he's as much of a victim as us IMO.

I think COH haven't appreciated the size of the job and the fact we still need players who are ready, quite a few of them in fact.

The transfer window hasn't closed is such a weak argument for me. Based on hope, not fact.

Hope that they understand they may need to go outside their "model" on a few signings, and the hope they have the money to do so.
