Great nights and Saturday mornings ,roll up to the match with my ice hockey boots and let in
£30 for new hockey boots from suggs ,I was only on £7 a week.
Mind you they were worth it for the young ladies that used to go there .

I had a locker there so Saturday night was straight in next door after .

Remember the lad who was always speed skating long haired fella
Yes I certainly do ??
He used to get really upset with me because I wiped the floor with him regularly whilst only wearing hockeys.
They asked me to join the team but I couldn't afford the skates

Accounting to the star today. We are awaiting Everton to sign Douglas Luiz before we can bring this guy in.

Another master stoke from the ‘brains trust’ in charge given it seems given Luiz is probably off to Forest.

Still a novel approach to sign replacements before you let your players leave - it will never catch on!!

You're right, Luiz looks likely to join Forest.

I really hope we do end up with Iroegbunam, but confused where he fits in.

Can’t see it if they want reinforcements in MF before letting him go.

I’d assume him and Soumare would be charged with not letting every single counterattack run directly through the middle of us.

I didn’t think he was required with Soumare initially but Bristol city showed that we have no midfielders athletic enough to be as open as we are currently. I almost think 2 more mobile and defensively sound midfielders are a requirement with the defence being this pathetic

I don’t think they were thinking of letting Anel leave till an offer too good to turn down came in, also they would’ve never got a replacement in within the timescale it all snowballed.

Agree with this. It's unacceptable we are a week down the line with no replacement but it looks more chaotic because the bid came out of the blue

your right him and soumare should be the protectors allowing hamer to play further forward in a 4213 set up peck's definetly not up to playing there on his own plays too many suicide passes and turns in to trouble on a regular basis far too often

It did appear that we had replacements lined up, the Zatterstrom and Godfrey rumours came to light soon after Anel was sold.

But we haven’t got either signed, which is probably what Selles was referring to when he criticised the process.

Out of those 2, Zatterstrom might still sign for us (if we can sort this Caceres deal out) but the Godfrey rumours have since gone quiet.

Maybe the wages were a major issue in the end (€60k+ per week at Atalanta?).

Anel was always likely to leave before the end of the month. The deal may have progressed and completed quicker than Utd expected but not having a replacement lined up, or at least one whose signing is not dependent of the club freeing up an ESC slot, is poor at best.
