Would be a good signing IMO , plenty of experience , versatile and has a quality set piece in his locker .

He also seems very level headed, I watched his actions during the penalty incident during Brentford, and despite an initial reaction of disbelieve and frustration seemed to calm down and speak to the ref and other players to not overreact.

A good guy to have in the dressing room IMO, the players seem to like him, plus he is good cover in a variety of rules. Would be a great signing even with his age.

Now if and when it's announced that Davies has indeed signed a contract with The Blades then it's no longer a rumour but a fact.

Ahhh, mmmmmm I see what you did there! Dispelled it as fact and therefore re labelled it as a possibility ergo its only a rumor, nice, sneaky but nice. We can expect a silly season and many ITK facts on here over the next 3 months, or is that just a rumor?

I don't even see how he is a Championship player. I hope we don't sign him and I have to say I am surprised at the positive reactions to the possibility. Other than one very good free kick I haven't seen anything to make me want him to sign.

He isn't tricky enough and his crossing isn't great for a winger and he isn't quick or fit enough for a full back. I don't rate him and I don't believe he has a "best position" that he is good enough in to make him worth signing.

Agreed, jury still out for me. He's been OK, but he's getting on. I can't help getting the feeling that when things aren't going our way, "they're all shit" (I've been guilty of this too), and right now whilst we're half decent, we should sign everyone up on long contracts.

Let's hold our horses and see what's available this summer.

He has said on Radio Sheffield that he would like to sign for us that is FACT, not a rumour whether he does or not is another matter. A possibility does not equal a rumour FFS get your facts right

Fantatsic pro - has a touch of quality in his right foot and will do wonders for team morale and the youngdters coming through - really well thought of at Derby in those terms.

Also his versatility is key - like signing five players in one. A yes from me.

Whilst I agree he hasn't set the world alight, he is exactly what you want/need for a league 1 squad player. he would be a quality signing. He really impressed against Peterborough and Carlisle. Level headed and dependable and can cover different roles

I agree with both comments, as a squad player to fill in the blanks he will be a decent signing, but I've not seen enough from him to be this great signing some people are boasting about, same with Freeman they have certain good quality's but they're not players I'm confident to have in the first team each week. Thi9s view may change in a few weeks time but for now I'm not sold on them.

Ben had not played all season and now that he has, he had been played out of position most of the time. Nobody had seen the best of him yet. Even so, he has proved a valuable team player willing to cover any position asked of him and do a professional, no-nonsense job.
With a top striker in place, his crosses, corners and free kicks would provide many assists.
A necessary type for any team serious about promotion. Injuries are bound to occur and when they do, top teams have the ability to keep picking up points.

Personally I would see him as a youth blocking signing. We already have Flynn and would hope that by next season that Khan and Calvin Lewin should be pushing for more playing time. The wages for Davies should be used for a postiion where we are short of quality, a striker!
