No thanks. As I've said before, utter dross. Absolutely no clamour from Stoke to get him back either

There's not a single stoke fan that's sad to see the back of him

From what I saw of him and them last season, we need to be looking at better players

He's talented, I'm sure he'll carve out a decent career. But you're right that no Stoke fan would want him back because apart from a few fleeting glimpses, he just didn't have any impact on games. Being a young developing player, he could burst through this season in the right team but it's a bit of a gamble. We've recently had a number of promising young players on loan who were flops with us but went on to star for other teams - Alfie Doughty, Harwood-Bellis, Delap.. there are others.. you have to catch them at the right point.

Issue is we're not at a point where we can afford to take those risks yet (just like you couldn't last season, and why i think he got benched).

We need Some level of consistency and proven ability, not flashes of it, and that should discount Koumas immediately

Two very different players.

Campbell pre injuries at Stoke was loved snd showed promise

Koumas was just shite

It's just an entirely different scenario, Campbell had been with us ten years. We knew what a good player he was but it had gone stale and it was in everyone's interest that he moved on. Totally different from a young Prem loanee who plays a few games and turns out to be ineffectual

Talented loanee winger to use in squad rotation. Kind of (almost) doesn't matter how bad his last loan spell went, if the talent is there.

I'd obviously prefer a permanent signing of our own talent, but this does make sense if CB and RB are where we plan to spend our money.

Are there no other young, promising wingers available? Some that have actually proven themselves a little?

Hell, I'd rather us spend more on CB and a winger and get a loanee RB as cover for Seriki

Completely unscientifically I'd guess, definitely yes, wingers are probably the easiest to pick up a talented Prem loanee for.

(or sneakily sign RAK-SAK BACK!)

Go on then, gerrim a taxi anall!
Has that been the hold up with signings? Have they all been waiting for their D-taxi to show up and take them to the medicals?
