I’d love him to succeed none of this is his fault not only has he got to win games of football he’s also got to win 80% of our fan base over an he seems a decent bloke with decent ideas on how to play he could potentially be a decent manager if backed correctly and given time unfortunately for him he’s been put there as a yes man by those fookers in charge al be shocked if he’s still here by Halloween 🎃

There's a difference between being worried about our lack of signings and 'wanting us to lose'.

I am worried about our lack of signings and didn't support us getting rid of Wilder. But I don't want United to lose 'so I can say I told you so'. I want us to win because I'm a Blade.

In fact I don't know any Blades fans who are hoping we lose on Saturday, regardless of their views on what's happened over the summer.

I have a higher opinion of our fans than you. He needs to win about 20% of the fanbase over. And it doesn’t really matter if he doesn’t. All of those not hopelessly trapped in the past and those who aren’t just thick moved on a couple of months ago. The rest don’t matter.
 
Now thinking that Wilder stood up to the board about transfers out and what was needed. They didn't like it and have gone cheap with many high earners out going (including Wilder) and cheap loans in. If we don't make any statement signings then play offs will be a push.

Derby sold/released 15 players this summer and sent 2 out on loan. Of course they were going to spend and bring in players. They hadn't got many players left.

Hull also released/sold a substantial number of players. As for them outspending us. They've spent £400k on one player and around £3.3mil on another. That's it. The other players were all free. Again they had no players. We've spent close to that total on Ukaki and Polendakov as well as the loan fee for Soumare.

Again, don't let facts and logic get in the way of your warped misleading narrative.

There are similarities but I don't think they'll sack him this season. Because I don't think they have any kind of expectation of promotion

Exactly. I’ve also noticed a lot of Wilder’s mates on social media piping up saying that Souza and Anel wouldn’t have gone if he was still here because they loved him and Hamer wants to leave cos he’s not here anymore which is a load of rubbish. I know for a fact a few players were quite happy he left. It’s honestly pathetic most off them would love it if Selles fails.

I think you'll find that a lot of Blades were baffled as to why Wilder was removed as manager. But the majority, if not all want SUFC to succeed and back the new manager. Fingers crossed the next few fixtures provide a little more optimism ⚔️

Not sure I’d want him back I mean personally I’d have given him while Xmas to see where we are but I can understand why they wanted their own man I want selles to do well I think he has potential I just feel for him at moment as I said his hands a tide he hasn’t been backed and he’s got to win what seems like an impossible crowd if we don’t get off to a good start they il be straight on him
 

If we want to move forward we need to get behind him.

If we can see what he’s trying to do with his style of play and it’s entertaining then we should back him.

Obviously results can’t be atrocious but mid table for me is acceptable while he implements a new style with hopefully some new players.

Happy to kick on after Xmas.

It’s the owners we need to keep an eye on to see how they manoeuvre… I don’t think they’ve come in to mess about but right now I’m on the fence.

They are utilising the loan market well and not saddling us with any long term commitments on silly wages.

Although I didn’t want vinnie or Anel to go they have sold well too.

I would like to see a couple of good permanent signings before the window close (this is my only gripe)

Looking forward to the first game Saturday to see what this new style looks like.
