Been asked this... I cannot answer this as I cannot hear the songs. Hope you can help please?
Just couple of questions Peter I think I am right in thinking John got labelled King Tudor after scoring the winner against Sheffield Wednesday ?? Also did the Hallelujah John Tudor start?

I remember a song which started with "Chip, chip, chip, chip, Tudor ......"
Well, that's what I thought the words were.

Remember a song that went something like……

Hallelujah king Tudor, King Tudor,
When we get promoted, this is what we’ll sing,
We all love you, we all love you,
Tudor is our king

Think it predated, the 3-2,derby game, though
I think that's 2 songs, the Hallelujah King Tudor,King Tudor, then the 'When we got promoted' had a different beginning, but can't remember the lines before it.

great goalscorer of that era was john tudor very much division 2's jimmy greaves a goal poacher and great header of the ball was sacrificed in january 1970 by john harris but that decision got us in to division 1 ⚔️

Think the King Tudor title started on his arrival at the club. He scored 2 on his debut in a 2-0 win at Bury I think and a further 2 the week after in a 4-0 win v Preston. Relying on my memory for this so might not be 100 % correct but remember the Preston game clearly. Highlights were shown the next day so might be somewhere on YouTube

I heard king Tudor at his first game when he scored 2 at Bury. Went on the train from Sheffield Victoria station.

Think there was a bit if friction between him and John Harris. Tudor was signed when Arthur Rowley was manager. I remember the following season we were losing at home to Swindon and he was substitute that day. The chant of 'Tudor, Tudor 'rang out from the Kop but the substitution never came. We lost 2-0 I think. The following season he was on the bench v Wednesday and after leading 2-0 were pegged back to 2-2. Tudor came off the bench. I was stood on the Kop next to a Wednesday fan I knew,(no segregation then), and I turned to him and said 'You've had it now, Tudor's coming on.' Within minutes he netted the winner. Happy days.
