Fantastic player, loved watching him outjump every defender to power the ball into the back of the net.

I was there when he got the winner against Wendy. Put it through Grummits legs and we all went ballistic celebrating.

Great player, great times.

yes top striker strong powerful quick just what we need now. So sorry to read about how things have turned out for him .

I wonder if it is possible to set up a fund for him at the Lane .He was so special . Not sure who to contact at the club to get it going ,the family sound like they are struggling with fees. Also whats wrong with some help from with in football its self .

Says his initial diagnosis of dementia was 15 years ago ! Jesus Christ i’d always thought following such a diagnosis the end would come within a year or two ? Imagine having to live/endure a slow deterioration over so many years. It’s probably the one thing I dread. Get me to Switzerland. Tout de suite

One of my first footballing memories was John (King) Tudor coming on as sub & scoring the winner in a 3-2 derby win at BDTBL. Seems he's fallen on bad times. Top striker, all the best.

Bless him. What an exciting player he was.Always felt like he would score and"Hallelujah King Tudor, king Tudor, rang around the Kop often.
He was worth about 4 John Hopes.🙄🤔

OMG!!!! Remember the day he went to Newcastle, and we got john Hope!!!!!!!! Looking around today, not much has changed!!!!!! Lol. Saw his first headed goal at the lane, he seemed to be two foot higher than anyone else, and hung up there for ages!!!!!
john hope and david ford i believe and think we signed trevor hockey the same week was at oxford for their first game january 71 won 2 - 1

Lets hope this Lad we also got from Coventry , is half as good it will do for me We%%%..day 2 United 2 we were feeling sad and blue , until John Tudor came on the football pitch , hurah hurah , ........................................................................................

Remember watching King John Tudor back in the late 60s and following his progress at Newcastle and I feel for him and his loving family.

Best wishes.

Tuder was great for us I will never forget the goal against Wendy to make 3-2.very sad to hear that he is poorly.

I seem to remember him scoring lots of diving headed goals.

When we played footie on the green, with jumpers for goal posts we tried so hard to get a diving header goal but nobody could cross it right. 😒

HH.

It's a long time ago, so I might be wrong, but I thought his debut was Bury away, we won 2-0, Tudor scored both. Remember the old wooden stand didn't half move when you had several hundred people jumping up and down on it.
im pretty sure your right

I remember him scoring at the Kop end for Newcastle against us, they beat us but can’t remember the score.. header from close in at the back stick
