Where is the commitment to try and get us back to the Premier League like you said? Only focusing on loans and not permanents? It’s pathetic how we’ve gone from a poor prince to an even poorer set of owners. If you had ambition you’d chuck a load of money at it to get us promoted.

Also we’ve recently bid for Antman a right winger and sources state “The Blades have raised funds to make a bid for the 23 year old after mainly looking at loans this window” What do you mean we have raised funds? So you didn’t have the funds in the first place is that why we aren’t making permanent signings?

New owners saying they have ambition, then show it! Doesn’t look promising and i’m sorry but it’s annoying me now so wanted to make a post, these new owners need to book their ideas up.

We've been promoted before by utilising the loan and free markets. Commitment doesn't have to mean throwing a tonne of cash at it in one window, and besides, we've been told funds are available if needed.

The window doesn't shut for weeks and a competitive ball hasn't been kicked yet.

As Frankie would say...relax.

No he’d say “Fanny”.

They did commit and chuck money at us in January and we failed to get promoted, we are now feeling the effects of the gamble which didn't pay off (probably what got wilder sacked).
Whilst I agree with you and I forgot about Cannon (because he’s shit) if a 13m transfer is enough to break the bank for the new owners then that is not good

Your new threads are increasingly "look at me, look at me" types. One of our owners is a professional poker player - you don't show your hand and you constantly try to throw your opponents a curve ball. I bet he wishes he was playing you!

Tell me you've never played poker without telling me you've never played poker

What not having a poll. Must be a week since the last one. 🥱

Words from the owners have been few and far between.

The only ones I can recall are - 'we want to become an established Premier league club'

and I am sure recently they said we need to 'be patient'

As supporters these are the only things we can hang on to as we develop our own expectations.

Patience is OK but money seems to be essential when establishing yourself in the top flight. Parachute payments are not going to last forever.

£13m for whom? Antman or Cannon?

Not to forget if we roll the dice spend big and fail to get promoted again, then we will be in a heap of shit.. especially with the league.

We have brought in a new manager and backroom staff with a new style of play (a manager that is a gamble, who isnt that experienced), along with a new recruitment strategy and ethos.

I wouldnt bet against them cutting their cloth accordingly in case we are not promoted (knowing its a new style and less experienced manager, and ethos thats in its bedding in proccess) but giving us a long term & clear plan & sticking with Selles to get it right, thus allowing this season as building blocks, which if and when we get promoted will yield results hopefully far greater than last time, and help to sustain us in a longer stint.

Or it could be a load of shit and be a typical united style owners which is skint and tight.

They have said they want to take a different approach and develop best in class recruitment, data/analytics, player welfare and medicine etc..

Perhaps that will take time and they're going to keep the powder dry until then.

I'm not reading that. More than a month left off the transfer window.

They’ve sold Souza so surely incomings and outgoings players has balanced out
Parachute payments have reduced. Cannon was rumoured £10m we sold Souza rumoured £13M, I dont think £3M extra has covered JRS loan fee and those of the other players last season plus their wages. Then we have recruited since then etc.

A few clubs have super rich owners who may chuck their own money at it but many finance through loans and investment against future income…think that’s how the Prince got by until his credit started to dry up.

By making the change of manager they have seemingly set their standards at promotion or else. Transfer wise we haven't seen that yet.

However it's 5 weeks to go before the window closes and probably months until we can see if it's been a good one or not

I wish someone would mention that if we don't get promoted then we won't have parachute money next season and will be in a whole world of pain.

No-one has posted about this for at least 5 minutes.
