The new owners are letting us down!

Where is the commitment to try and get us back to the Premier League like you said? Only focusing on loans and not permanents? It’s pathetic how we’ve gone from a poor prince to an even poorer set of owners. If you had ambition you’d chuck a load of money at it to get us promoted.

Also we’ve recently bid for Antman a right winger and sources state “The Blades have raised funds to make a bid for the 23 year old after mainly looking at loans this window” What do you mean we have raised funds? So you didn’t have the funds in the first place is that why we aren’t making permanent signings?

New owners saying they have ambition, then show it! Doesn’t look promising and i’m sorry but it’s annoying me now so wanted to make a post, these new owners need to book their ideas up.

I'm old enough to remember when under Hecky we brought in mostly loan players and went on to get promoted.

By making the change of manager they have seemingly set their standards at promotion or else. Transfer wise we haven't seen that yet.

However it's 5 weeks to go before the window closes and probably months until we can see if it's been a good one or not
I think he has 3 windows and if he’s not pushing top 2/3 then the board will probably sack him.

If we keep our current squad and get 1/2 midfielders and 2 defenders I think we can give it a good go. I think One will be a nailed on first teamer and will hammer it this season.

Another attention seeking post by a poster who loves to start a thread and couldn't be bothered to to look at the other threads
Agreed just loves to start attention seeking threads all the time instead of contributing to existing threads on the same subject. For example will start a thread on his point about a player or performance after a game literally every week instead of posting his point to the match day thread.

If I’m right the lad is only 16/17 so will grow out of it hopefully and gets some slack because of his young age.

They aren’t mega rich so It depends if they can attract further investors.

I did hear there were one or two more interested parties close to joining but that depended on us winning promotion to The Premier League and unfortunately the second half bottle job at Wembley cost us that.

I just wanted to highlight the fact that they have also:

resurfaced the pitch
resurfaced the car park
(hope they haven't got these 2 mixed up)
confirmed that safe standing is being introduced

We know that there are priorities within the club that need sorting, many of which aren't solved by buying a player. I believe they have a plan in place to add value to the club in order to sell us on for a profit. Promotion would help, but there is more to it than that.

Also I just saw a list of all the championship transfers so far... I hardly think we are miles behind everyone else and there's not many names on there I feel we have missed out on either.

Whilst I agree with you and I forgot about Cannon (because he’s shit) if a 13m transfer is enough to break the bank for the new owners then that is not good
We have done it before using the loan market just as Forest did and others. Using money responsibly is better than throwing it at it- and loans are not cheap - Now we are expanding the market into Europe and beyond including building foundations with young development players from across the world. I am sure that when we need to spend we will - chill

I wish someone would mention that if we don't get promoted then we won't have parachute money next season and will be in a whole world of pain.

No-one has posted about this for at least 5 minutes.

We’re running out of things we’re allowed to post on here these days - more moderators than posters.

Be a golden American Buffalo built in the South Stand car park if it keeps up…

Are we all throwing our shoes at the new Avengers film in protest?
They have still got the film set up near me. Haven't seen Mr Russo there. Have seen a security guard with a Mohawk I'm on "hello" terms with which for down south stranger interactions means we are basically blood brothers. Might sneak a photo of it disregarding the signs up in protest. Total rebellion.

Try to remember what PA said about the later end of the transfer window.

Whilst I cant quote him exactly it was along the lines of better players become available to us as teams begin to settle in the premier league, some players get told theyre not starters anymore, some are on bad terms with a new manager etc, some want regular football, and some promising youngsters want to get game experience at a high level, with dare I say it, a top end Championship club like us.

The prince has gone but its got to work exactly the same, we had real success following that pattern over the years with the prince, so now is not the time to panic.. even now today, it's still not the time to panic, we'll be reyt..

You want to panic, then Panic about Burrows and Hamer.. we will be tested..

Look, just because our owners aren’t the typical, bombastic American sports club owners, doesn’t mean they’re not being proactive behind the scenes. All teams need a good selection of loans to get out of this league and in many respects players like Barry and Bindon aren’t available to buy because they are deemed to have so much potential. So looking on the bright, I’d sooner have them in on loan than not at all.

We’re at a fork in the road. Are we going to use the second half of the window to make a serious investment in the playing squad and have a real go at promotion or are we going to try and do it on the cheap and risk wasting the last season of parachute payments?

We've been promoted before by utilising the loan and free markets. Commitment doesn't have to mean throwing a tonne of cash at it in one window, and besides, we've been told funds are available if needed.

The window doesn't shut for weeks and a competitive ball hasn't been kicked yet.

As Frankie would say...relax.
Couldn't agree more.

Didn't our friend's in south Barnsley try throwing tonnes of cash at it, that worked well long term 😀.

Feels like it is pretty open to take option A. I hope we back Selles, only needs 2 or 3 quality additions and we’re in great shape for top two.
