I putting together a downloadable list of 'Blades' songs to play on the way to Wem-ber-lee.

Got 4 so far:

Rose Garden
Annie's Song
Judas Priest - United
Thin Lizzy - The Boys are back in town.

Suggestions?

Sham 69 - if the kids were united
queen - its a kind of magic
Queen - We are the champions :)
Annies song (reprisal)

Greenday- Basket Case

As we must be basket cases to go down again. Especially if everybody is like me, and is actually confident of a result.

You can do Magic - limmie and family cooking
This is England - The Clash

Doris Day - Que Sera Sera
Perry Combo - Magic Moments
Darude - Sandstorm
Elvis - Can't Help Falling In Love From You

Im not suggesting this for the play list, more of an enquiry.

But a few (maybe a lot of years ago) we had a thing at half time where we played songs by local bands, and I can't remember the name of the band, just one line of the song (which turns out is quite catchy), it went;

"...and its here at Sheffield 2 where all we want to do is back the Blades, and see the Owls go down"

Can anyone else remember this song?!

Feeder - Seven Days in the Sun
Kasabian - Underdog
The Libertines - Time for Heroes
Oasis - Morning Glory
Primal Scream - Moving on Up
The Smiths - Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want
The Stone Roses - This Is the One

To be honest, I just went down my iTunes and picked songs with some sort of relation to success! This would be a reyt album though....

I do, we don't like Mondays but I cant stand Wednesday! My Uncle had the bloody thing on repeat all the way down to Wembley for the Palace game.

Cool song though

Is the song downloadable from anywhere? Who sang it? What are the full lyrics? I demand answers, and need them now!

I want to tell you, I might as well do, about a boy who can do anything...

Rage against the machine (premier league being the machine in this case) any song but Killing in the name of, is good to get the blood pumping.

It was available on CD from the club shop, I had a copy. I'm sure there are still a few floating about, I don't know the answers to your questions, but if your serious about finding a copy perhaps start a thread?

Somebody somewhere will know, or at least have a copy they are willing to give away I'm sure.

I'll do just that. It'd be nice to have some of these songs. Especially for the kids to listen to, as most of the ones available on CD now aren't really suitable for young ears.

The kids still think the sparrow has a 'dirty coarse bum', and that it flew over Hillsborough to 'poo on the Wendy below below'.

Oh, and Shoreham boys drink beer and kiss girls.

Not a Blade song but......

She Said - Longpigs

For no other reason (even though it is a top tune) than to totally piss off super pig Richard Hawley, knowing that's the closest he'll get to Wembley for a while! :D

Old Red eyes is back
Red from the night before the night before
Walked into the wrong bar walked into a door
Old Red's in town
And sitting late at night he doesn't make a sound
Just adding to the winkles on his deathly frown
They're only red from all the tears that I should've shed
They're only red from all the women that I could've wed
So when you look into these eyes I hope you realise
They could never be blue
They could never be blue
They could never be blue
They could never be blue
