When he played for the pigs, he lived on an estate just beyond Stannington. During this time, I chatted with a couple of his neighbours in the local hostelries on separate occasions and they both said that a more arrogant and ignorant individual you’d never wish to meet.

Secondly, bumped into Bannan in a coffee shop last season, just after Windass’s partner had apparently given birth. He told us that on the days leading up to a game, he was staying the nights in a City Centre hotel, so “he could get some sleep”. Selfish twat and it was clear the Bannon thought the same.

I imagine a lot of players will do that at the request of the club.
Every avenue is used now to get the best from there players. Lack of sleep is one big thing that clubs will try to avoid..
I will be very surprised if that isnt common now at the top level where the costs can be absorbed with the levrl of finance there is.
