Simple estimate in a nutshell, will their be tickets left for general sale next sunday? Or will they ALL go before?

the club seem to be doing their best to ensure there will be tickets for general sale, so its a Yes from me

My guess is about 4000 - 5000 will be left to go on general sale at the end of the week.

I don't reckon that all ST holders will take up their allocation - 8,000 left

I hope so! I've got plenty of loyalty points but no membership/ST :(

Does anyone know if it's it still 2 tickets pp on gen sale or can you get more?

I enquired by email of the ticket office today and got a quick reply over the stated request that Blades draw membership card had to be produced in person and how feasible is that living in Kent and also it prevents applying on line.
I was told to apply in person or by phone.
We live a computer age has the lane ticket office not got computer records available of their supporters.
With a premium rate T/P number I could be hours getting through. Totally unsatisfactory situation in my opinion.
Has anyone else got the same problem
UTB

Yep, I also contacted the ticket office by email.

Here is my email;

Hello there,
I have just over 2,150 loyalty points. I would like to buy two tickets to take my son to the match. I live away from Sheffield and can not make the trip to collect tickets in person. I am a club member.
Please can I purchase two tickets via the website on Sat. 29th March and organise for these to be collected later? or posted as normal?
I have followed the teams FA Cup run this season, attending matches at Colchester, Cambridge, Aston Villa, Fulham and the Nottingham match and would like to go to Wembley.
Hope you can help, provide some advice.
Cheers, Tony.

Here is the response;

I'd say yes.

Beat Hull and getting a ticket for Tranmere will be as difficult as getting one for the Final.

Tranmere is one of my favourite away days and would be a great party this year, even more so than the trip under Wilson.

unfortunately , theres a lot of fair weather blades that A cant afford it and B wont go as they only have been to the big occasions and have not got great memories of them , the numbers wont be as massive as we used to get purely down to our last few years of disappointment

Ah that telephone number again. When will the club come out with a reasonable statement about the contract for this phone number and stop treating fans who live away like piffey little incidental supporters that do not matter.

Only bought one ticket this morning so one left to go back into the pot. Hope everyone who wants one gets one.

I can't believe the club is making Joseph and his pregnant wife walk back to their place of birth in order to buy tickets!

Oh wait ....they've offerered three options, in person, by premium rate phone call or online!

I can't believe that there isn't an option to buy with tescos club card points at a macdonalds drive through on Mars. What are the club playing at!!!

I had a ticket for the Hudders play off final, but got separated from my mate who had my ticket. But I was able to waltz up to the ticket window and buy another (cheaper) one, with no queue on the day. Can't imagine it being any different this time.

well that's very good news, in pretty much the same position so being able to buy online/via phone rather than previously advertised is great

Just to qualify - by that, I don't mean that I expect to get so drunk before the game that I mislay my phone again and lose track of all my friends, including the mate with the ticket. I'm saving that for the final.

Why, oh Why, do you always have to be so downbeat and pessimistic?

Personally, I think a great many have been so enthused by Nigel and the team that they are prepared to draw a line.

For me, this is very different to play-off finals where the result (a draw at best if you're SemiPro) is everything. This is surely a celebration, win or lose?

blade too long, pessimistic?

:eek::eek::eek:

General sale for me to pick over the bones of what is left.

How degrading this situation is, the thought of being in the stalls with all the hoi polloi, to run the risk of missing out on a royal circle seat. Gash.......

HH;)

I too am an old Blade. In Shrek terminology, I am Far Far away. If it were not so, I would have my Thermos flask and Blanket, and, as, in so many years past, I would have been down at the Lane, in line for a ticket; watching anxiously as I moved up towards the counter, hoping against hope, that I would get tickets for myself and my late Dad who passed away on his way home from the game against Oxford, in 1990. Not looking for sympathy because he is always close to me, but this semi is for you Dad. I will try to get a final ticket when we get through, That won't be easy for a Blade who has no credit points,( or whatever the criteria) apart from being 70 odd years a Blade. 11000 miles away. still and forever a Blade.

Sorry we're not allowed to help anyone out. Get your place in the queue like all the rest. You chose to move to the other side of the world. You should have come back more and then you would prove your loyalty. Or better still stuck around instead of bettering yourself, wallow and stew where you did not want to then you'd have been guaranteed a ticket and we'd all have clapped and said what a great guy you were for doing it. It's not enough for you to keep in touch the best way you can for the few things you still love in the country.

not downbeat its a social fact , and all fa cup games attract less across the board these days , not just blades, its of more significance to us who suffered a terrible start to the season but we are the die hard 18000 , the floating fans have very different outlooks , and not just at our club , I expect us to get near or a sell out , but 5 years ago wed have sold out in a day
