Are you able to comment on whether the “profit” that Danny Hall is suggesting is a significant amount?

I’m doubtful it can be much. But getting him off the wage bill and getting the outlay back seems an easy decision to make.
As I quoted above. If we signed him for £7mil on a 4 year contract then we've paid off £3.5mil and still owe £3.5mil. If we sold him for £13mil then we've made £9.5mil profit.

Ta. I’d idly watched the Sheff United Way vid in which they been rather down on the fee. But I’ve seen no reliable info on any of the transactions.

GLTTL, a good signing (someone we actually managed to profit/get our money back on) unplayable on his day in the championship but not a bad sale imo.

This pretty much concludes the reversal of our summer 2023 transfer dealings, with only Hamer still at the club. We’ve profited on all except archer and his was essentially a glorified loan deal.

Archer: in £18m, out £14m
Souza: in £7m, out £13m
Trusty: in £5m, out £7m
Traoré: in £2m, out £4m
Slimane: in £800k, out £1.2m

Think we’ve done remarkably well to profit on all except Archer given the overall lack of quality in this list!

So we're saying we actually did excellent business in summer 2023? 😄

I suppose an upside to this is also when you look at the construction of the midfield.
Souza no goals
Peck no goals

You can’t have too many players in the team apart from the keeper who don’t add anything to the scoresheet unless you’re very lucky with your strikers.

We have new owners let's see if they reinvest it in the club before we start the high fives

Totally agree. To have midfielders not chipping in with a few goals isn't ideal.

Look at how we set up to play last season. There’s no surprise that our midfielders weren’t scoring, they weren’t allowed to gamble on anything.
Hopefully there will be more goals from midfield next season Janksky boy.
