He’d be alright alongside Jebbo at Preston.

However can’t help but think he has a higher view of himself than that despite not much evidence to the contrary.

Great kid. His fee wasn’t his fault. Neither was his wages.

But he wouldn’t have been good value if he’d cost half and been paid half.

The main reason to keep him is like the main reason Chansiri is handing on. You don’t feel like you’re writing off a 20m investment if he stays and that way he keeps open the possibility of him ‘coming good’.

He’s 24 now and you can’t really ever say he’s had a breakout season.

If we've made him an offer (I don't know if we have) his agent will be touting him around other clubs looking for a deal and if nothing comes up he'll sign for us, then we are stuck with him, funny how there's no talk of clubs wanting him in the transfer window

And who in the Championship is affording his wages if the team with the third highest wage bill are not having their offer accepted?
We might not be offering a first choice, starting wage. We have have even recinded the offer since Wilder left. He might choose to go elsewhere for less money (but I doubt that, he seems to like it here but a neutral would be less aware of that).

They wouldn’t need AI if it was just checking goal scoring stats, anyone could google the answer in 1 minute.
Their AI will check 100’s of different stats, that would be difficult and time so consuming taking weeks for a human to check.

Indeed. Seems common across all sports that any "stats" that can be googled within a minute are completely useless, reactive rather than predictive, or both

Time to go

He’s done nothing - nowt - zilch

Bye

For me, it would be here's our offer. No negotiations just take it or leave it. No wasting time. To be honest I think it's better for both parties if we go our separate ways.

Like most of us, I've wanted him to do well, but it hasn't worked out for him, his goal away at Blackburn was fantastic and showed what he was capable of, think he got two in 3 games, then got injured..

Fact is weve had to find a place in midfield for him now, and others are better than him in those positions..

His replacement was signed in January.. so for me its goodbye and good luck, he's hit the jackpot with what we paid him for what we got in return..

Last season was the one. He stayed fit throughout it, but never really got the chance to play as a Striker.
Shame really as staying fit was a massive positive. He did well and adapted his game into a new position, but I do feel had he been given the run of games he had upfront instead of out wide, we would have seen a considerable increase in his goal tally

He will be remembered for his goal on Pensitone Road and not a lot else. Seems a great kid who has been unlucky and best of luck to him but its best for everyone to go their seperate ways. If we signed a striker who has 8 goals in 6 years the reaction would not be favourable !!!

Contract has nothing to do with it. Any incoming manager worth his salt will want to assess the players already 'at the club' before taking any action. I take it you're not a Brewster fan?
He’ll not be at the club as he’s not contracted after this month. If he hasn’t signed what we offered then let him go, it’s no great loss. No i’m not a big fan as he’s not that good.
