Look at the first comment from catterprick. He wants us to get relegated 🤣🤣 Anyone who wishes that on us is not a blade, they're a cnut
Correct. Like that tool that hopes Wilder goes to Leicester & takes all our best players. Never been Blades, they don’t have the spine for it.

Some amazing memories, on a par with Bassett. Thanks for everything.

I really hope he has a second coming at a decent club, but I'm not sure. Football has moved on so much and so quickly in the last decade, especially in terms of tactics and strategy. He needs to adapt.

I don't think he can adapt. That's the problem.

Taken stock and now certain COH have made a huge mistake. They want instant results, yet it was obvious (as Wilder stated) we were on a rebuild path. 19 players left at the end of last season. Last time round Wilder was given time; no sacking after first 4 games; no sacking after first season in championship. Just steady progress to build a Premier team.

Leeds fans are all amazed as they made the right decision giving Farke one more season. Talksport and Sky pundits are amazed at the decision. Do COH really understand Championship football better than hardened professionals after being in charge for less than a season?

My prediction is we will be begging for Wilder and Knill to come back by January.

Doubt they will ask Wilder to come back, even if we're bottom at Christmas. That will mean admitting that they made a wrong decision. It's far more likely that they'll sack Selles and bring in another young, vibrant, well-dressed 'highly thought-of' foreign manager.

If that bloke also fails to deliver they might look to CW again but I doubt it. Some fans won't be keen either, spouting meaningless cliches like 'never look back, we have moved on, look to the future not the past...' as their reasoning.

"Hardened professionals". Since when do Talkspott and Sky have those?

Also, based on that thinking, nothing would ever change or improve, nobody would ever innovate.

I really don't know how I feel about all this, other than to say I've felt pretty miserable since the play-off final, and the events of this week have not improved my mood any. It's Summer Solstice on Saturday, so I'm off to Stonehenge tomorrow where I will spend the night under the stars getting my funny little head together.

Keep on keeping on pal. Hopefully a clear night for you.

They want instant results
Do they? Where have you got that from? My take on what has actually been said (rather than made up stuff) is that they are looking to implement long term change and modernisation.

But if you can find anything where they say they want instant results I’ll stand corrected.

Bit early to say its the right decision - Leeds could easily be up shit creek by November and looking for a new man

In their statement yesterday, they literally said we might need to be patient. Either people don't read stuff, refuse to believe what they're reading, or their eyes just glaze over in rage so they take nothing in.

Not as many posts you would normally get from players saying "thank you gaffer".....

Surely he deserved another season?? Yes he made mistakes, yes he did and said the odd thing that he probably shouldn't have ...but.....he got us within 20 minutes of the Premier league with a side put together at the last minute. He was robbed of 2 of his best players for more than half the season..(yes I accept the failure to replace souttar was a mistake). Yes he relied on loan signings more heavily than in truth he should have, but, was that his fault? Despite this.. ...his team garnered 90 points, his team also oversaw the stellar development of sydie and to a lesser degree seriki and others, he signed coops and got a tune out of vini souza and tyrese Campbell....ffs. A bit of clarity and reflection is needed at times. Do we really trust that whoever comes in will do better???
Yes

A sad ending to a manager who gave me Duffy bouncing day and the double over them lot last season. For that he deserves praise as did the innovative overlapping centre backs.

His tactical deficiencies caught up with him in the end and the season was lost the moment Farke dropped Meslier on 5 April 2025. On the same day we were stinking the place out at Oxford. Weeds went onto win their last 7 games.

At half time at Wembley we had one foot in the EPL. De Bris kicked that away with his innovative changes and a golden opportunity was lost.

For me the right decision if we are to progress as a club and move into a DOF/Head Coach structure that improves fitness conditioning and medical services.

I'll miss CW's enthusiasm and love for the Club. Third best manager in my lifetime after Harris and Basset. I'll not miss the cult of Chris who are out in force at the moment.
Someone else may have pointed this out, but was there a link between Wilder's love of a drink and the players lack of fitness?

Dont know if this has been mentioned by others but I think Wilder still may have been sacked even if he had got us promoted to the PL.

The new regime are obviously succesful business people and they are trading with U.S. and global partners where corporate image is critical.

Not a good look if our players and coaching team are brawling on the pitch and constantly being fined for our lack of discipline etc

Could be way off here but if we're now aspiring to become a more commercially attractive proposition for sponsorship and a
more family orientated club ie to grow the fanbase and expand the ground etc we need to go in a different direction.
