Got one in our group chat who's the same

A high percentage of blades fans hate change. It's one of the reasons why we never progress as a club.

Doom & gloom merchants. Like the donkey off Winnie the Pooh
Its true it's interesting to see through the prism of social media this time around

I like change if it looks like it's for the better.

Selles has achieved nothing in his career whatsoever and clearly the Hull owner thought he was rubbish enough to sack him.

The only joy this appointment brings is to pig fans who need a distraction from their ongoing nightmare

You can have all the footballing philosophies in the world, it doesn't make you a good manager and doing alright for a bit at Reading does not make you a manager that's going to win us promotion

This is about as underwhelming as it could get

For me it was always going to be a huge gamble. The lad clearly has something, but he has to get us in and around the automatics from autumn otherwise he’ll be under pressure.

The Hull owner is mental - See Liam Rosenior

Also explain to me how saving a club starting on -6 and then getting them 6th before leaving, then saving another club that was royally fucked is "achieving nothing"

You must be a WUM because nothing you say is logical, based in facts or evidence and is just completely contrary to everyone

No, he was only there from June to November. Team was already built in the near 4 years before he joined

Looks like he joined at team that had finished 15th in the Premier League. Then they became poor after he joined?

Hull owner night be mental but plenty of Hill fans are still confused as to how he's got a parachute payment club clearly

The landscape has changed a lot since Dyche had some actual success though. He also strikes me as someone who's unwilling (or incapable) to adapt if things don't go as planned.
I also get the feeling he's not liked very much by his players. Everton turned it around immediately under Moyes.
I think he did pretty well at stabilising Everton and had a good season last year that was masked by the points deduction. He could've done better this year but there are plenty of "modern" coaches who are equally dogmatic

Right and him being the assistant manager is to blame for that how? Or are you saying that Nathan Jones would have succeeded if it wasn't for Cohen and Sheehan?

Honestly the hoops people are jumping through to shit on him - what next, his hair and fashion sense?

Yep, this is lunacy

People need to trying to convince themselves this is going to be alright.... It's not

They're looking at it from the outside - we have the perspective of seeing Wilder manage the team, the pressers, his squads ect, so we know how bad it got towards the end

If Selles was any good, he'd have kept him

See Hull fans comments in the post above about him. There's NO facts or evidence about Selles that makes him an ideal candidate for a team that realistically should hope for automatic promotion next season from the Championshop

Stop trying make this guy out to be something he's not because you want to convince yourself we'll be OK next season

But they have seen his style of football far more than most blades and can't work it out 🤷‍♂️

I'm not fully sure how people can use his spells at Hull and Reading as not successful, given each teams circumstances.

Yes it's a gamble, but maybe we need to gamble to make the step we HAVENT DONE SINCE THE WAR - which is be in the top division for 4 successive years.

That really is a terrible stat.
It's a terrible stat because it's not true

I'm not trying to convince myself of shit, I'm just trying to explain to you why your completely unfounded irrational "WAAAH WE'RE GOING TO SUCK" is based in absolutely nothing

2 questions -
- Why does Wilder deserve to stay? What did he do this season that was so fantastic and can't be improved on?

- If not Selles and Wilder - who?

As a Blade, I want him to succeed. But however hard I look, his CV isn't great, that is all. If I have missed something about his career to date, happy to be corrected.

It's as tiresome as fuck isn't it.

I hope to God he gets off to a good start otherwise all the old clichés will be out by September.
