Have you seen how bad that Southampton side was, and the state it was in when he came in?
Wasn't he the assistant manager that helped build the team?

Its true it's interesting to see through the prism of social media this time aroundGot one in our group chat who's the same
A high percentage of blades fans hate change. It's one of the reasons why we never progress as a club.
Doom & gloom merchants. Like the donkey off Winnie the Pooh
No, he was only there from June to November. Team was already built in the near 4 years before he joinedWasn't he the assistant manager that helped build the team?

Just mixed up my seasons and when he joined Reading. Was thinking 23/24 was when they finished 7th.How could you possibly think that when you know he's been in charge at hull this season?
Are we all adding Spanish flags to our social media accounts and adding an Iberian twist to our names; like Wednesday fans did with German flags when Rohl took over?
You can have all the footballing philosophies in the world, it doesn't make you a good manager and doing alright for a bit at Reading does not make you a manager that's going to win us promotion
This is about as underwhelming as it could get
In your opinion. No way any of us know at this point if this is a good change or a bad one. We can speculate but can’t state anything categoricallyWhy you backing him when there’s nothing to back him on gaining promotion it’s going to be a awful change
He was a data analyst at Strømsgodset in 2015 and is pictured with Jostein Flo here:

The Hull owner is mental - See Liam RoseniorI like change if it looks like it's for the better.
Selles has achieved nothing in his career whatsoever and clearly the Hull owner thought he was rubbish enough to sack him.
The only joy this appointment brings is to pig fans who need a distraction from their ongoing nightmare
Yep, this is lunacy

Hull owner night be mental but plenty of Hill fans are still confused as to how he's got a parachute payment club clearlyThe Hull owner is mental - See Liam Rosenior
Also explain to me how saving a club starting on -6 and then getting them 6th before leaving, then saving another club that was royally fucked is "achieving nothing"
You must be a WUM because nothing you say is logical, based in facts or evidence and is just completely contrary to everyone
El Accounto reckons the new gaffer will have a bigger budget than wilder? and we've bidded for a st,rb and a cb...
I remember a certain Dave Bassett getting sacked by Watford for being rubbish. Is this some sort of joke?
The guy got sacked and was rubbish at Hull
I think he did pretty well at stabilising Everton and had a good season last year that was masked by the points deduction. He could've done better this year but there are plenty of "modern" coaches who are equally dogmaticThe landscape has changed a lot since Dyche had some actual success though. He also strikes me as someone who's unwilling (or incapable) to adapt if things don't go as planned.
I also get the feeling he's not liked very much by his players. Everton turned it around immediately under Moyes.
Right and him being the assistant manager is to blame for that how? Or are you saying that Nathan Jones would have succeeded if it wasn't for Cohen and Sheehan?Looks like he joined at team that had finished 15th in the Premier League. Then they became poor after he joined?
Gary Sinclair doing a flamenco with Captain Blade before the first home match of the season.Tapas at half time.
Yep, this is lunacy
People need to trying to convince themselves this is going to be alright.... It's not
They're looking at it from the outside - we have the perspective of seeing Wilder manage the team, the pressers, his squads ect, so we know how bad it got towards the endHull owner night be mental but plenty of Hill fans are still confused as to how he's got a parachute payment club clearly
If Selles was any good, he'd have kept himThe Hull owner is mental - See Liam Rosenior

But they have seen his style of football far more than most blades and can't work it outThey're looking at it from the outside - we have the perspective of seeing Wilder manage the team, the pressers, his squads ect, so we know how bad it got towards the end
Shut up you fannyholeYep, this is lunacy

Bullshit. Is this some sort of joke?
The guy got sacked and was rubbish at Hull
It's a terrible stat because it's not trueI'm not fully sure how people can use his spells at Hull and Reading as not successful, given each teams circumstances.
Yes it's a gamble, but maybe we need to gamble to make the step we HAVENT DONE SINCE THE WAR - which is be in the top division for 4 successive years.
That really is a terrible stat.
I'm not trying to convince myself of shit, I'm just trying to explain to you why your completely unfounded irrational "WAAAH WE'RE GOING TO SUCK" is based in absolutely nothingIf Selles was any good, he'd have kept him
See Hull fans comments in the post above about him. There's NO facts or evidence about Selles that makes him an ideal candidate for a team that realistically should hope for automatic promotion next season from the Championshop
Stop trying make this guy out to be something he's not because you want to convince yourself we'll be OK next season
Right and him being the assistant manager is to blame for that how? Or are you saying that Nathan Jones would have succeeded if it wasn't for Cohen and Sheehan?
Honestly the hoops people are jumping through to shit on him - what next, his hair and fashion sense?
It's as tiresome as fuck isn't it.Got one in our group chat who's the same
