Hopefully as we get nearer July someone at the club will think about arranging some, appreciate the owners in different timezones is an issue.

Any rumours of games or a training camp abroad?

I miss the Malta days

EDIT: the pre-season piss ups, not the Blackwell tactical masterclasses

Loads of well known resorts close to Girona , but no info whether any fan engagement scheduled at the training camp.
And surely it's not beyond the club to set up a game so we can all boast of having followed dem Blades in Europe , like we did at the Algarve Stadium in 2019.
(Risking a stabbing from the Real Betis ultras in the process)

Am I missing summat....? I'm not on Instagram and have no intention of signing myself up to it.... but are those really our pre-season fixtures???? Can't we do better than the usual underwhelming shite like this? FFS!!!

Lads it's pre season

Who gives a fuck. You certainly won't come September. I'd rather we had a fit and reasonably settled squad over a glorified training game
I genuinely take your point Berkshire, although I do wonder if facing better quality opposition in pre-season might help us go into the first game in better shape? Our approach to pre-season just feels so stale... and amateurish. Well, that's how it feels to me, although I very much doubt that anyone at BDTBL gives a flying one about what I think (probably with good reason 🤣). UTB forever though - whoever we play!

Only the big clubs play the likes of Chesterfield in a pre-season match.

The way it's been done for almost every club until overseas money spinning games which managers actually dislike as it's not ideal for fitness for bigger clubs.

A token friendly Vs a inter Milan or fenerbache is more interesting but I wouldn't necessarily say it makes any real difference

Fair enough - I guess I am focussed on the "more interesting" aspect. I have no expectation of big money spinning overseas games (they're daft in my view) but surely we could find a game against the likes of Fulham, Wolves or the like? Maybe not though, they're in the land of big bucks and so probably looking for those overseas games? All that said, as an older Blafe I can't help but reflect that if we'd announced a PSF against Bournemouth a few years ago I'd have yawned. My, how times have changed! Anyhow, I'll gee ooer moanin' naah... and as I said earlier UTB whoever, wherever and whenever we play them. Cheers!

Bournemouth, good team had a good season but what a set of big girls blouses when their tackled squealing like babies. Another reason not to mis the Premier League too much.

Watching Blades Ramble video of preseason fixtures (a few hours after he went live), apparently one of the people in that Ramblers group has mentioned that the Burton Albion game is John Brayfords testimonial.

I went to watch Girona v Real Sociedad in October, nice city with plenty of history. The ground (if that's where the training camp is) is a short bus ride or 30 minute walk away from the centre.
I stayed in Lloret de mar, 45 minutes drive away, and despite the centre being a bit trashy the surrounding area is very nice.

I mean, it’s in the first post of this thread and Sheffield Uniteds article… but we might as well slap a Ramble exclusive on it 😂

Oops, my bad, I didn't read it properly. 😂😂

A tenner a month well spent.
