Nerves

If we lose, I am content. CH is a great division and we know what we get with it. Largely win more than we lose.

If we win, I am content. Its PL and prestige, we'll get a nice open top bus parade and a lot of celebrations and this year could be a little different with new ownership but the general consensus is we'll come straight back down anyway and it'll be quite a horrible watch, again.

Weighing it all up, losing doesn't seem too bad afterall.

If you we get promoted then we need to get rid of 3/4 of the squad and spend big if want to actually stay up- If we don’t/won’t, what’s the point? its gonna be another big rebuild- this will be true reflection of our new owners ambition. This has to be the beginning of something new-the new SUFC

Feels like a strangely long wait and a quiet one too really.

Enjoyed the new YouTube video today but apart from that it feels like it’s lasting forever. Probably because we’d all but qualified for it before the second leg.

Did get a little wave of excitement chatting to a blade at work about it but still feels a way off yet.

I’ll be nervous Friday and then Saturday morning until I get on the beers

Agreed. Yes it will be crap if we lose - but not like the loss to Hull in the FA Cup semi where a win would have given us a Europa League place, or the Hudders loss after the Ched season when the pigs snatched automatic.

If we lose we know we'll probably be among the better teams next season, as opposed to the PL where avoiding relegation will be a massive achievement. Of course I want us to win, but it's not going to ruin my summer if we don't.

If they're spending big, I don't want Wilder in charge. If it's a new venture, make it a fresh one.

The football is turgid a lot of the time

A bit.

On one hand it’s a bit of a free hit. We’ve experienced promotion and PL football doesn’t feel like much of a prize these days. The club’s future isn’t on the line if we don’t go up and the signs point to the owners giving it a good go next season.

On the other hand it’s made me envious seeing Palace enjoy their victory at Wembley. Seems so near yet so far for us. No reason why we can’t win but bitter experience tells us there is a twist somewhere. This Wembley/play off hoodoo is absolutely ridiculous, what odds would you get if you put a bet on back in 1988 for us to lose every play offs and cup semi final? Could be one of the biggest celebrations we’ve ever had as a club or the familiar gut punch and rush to leave the ground.

Not yet, but probably on the day. And as a few have said, any nerves are tempered by the fact that we’ll be straight back down anyway.

Something is telling we will lose, I can picture the media creaming themselves over Sunderland. Just don't feel confident at all, don’t know if its down to the late winner by Sunderland against Coventry or their pacey forwards or the fact VAR is going to be in operation.

The way I see it , we go up we get money but less enjoyable matches, if we stay in the championship we do t get the money but more enjoyable matches, and tbh I would begrudge Sunderland going up in our place as they have a decent fan base and are a huge club

Nerves, absolutely. Not because I want to get back to the premier league, but because I want to see us win a big game. 31 and been to all the big games since the 03 semi final at Old Trafford; we’ve lost every single game and scored in one of them.

Just imagine if we can get past a good Sunderland team and win it. 30 years (+ more for others!) of disappointment and anti-climactic days we’ve all had to endure. I get nervous just thinking of the potential celebrations that would follow if we win 🤢

Nope.
Im confident and relaxed.
And I'll stay that way right up until I see a Blade I dont know next Saturday. Then it'll feel real and I'll shit myself.

This.

Not nervous yet will hit me once inside the ground. At 53 I just want us to win at Wembley and lose the stigma that goes with 9 playoff defeats. Think Newcastle think Palace, why can't it be our day? If we do win the reality of the Premier League will hit straight away. I said after last season never ever ever again and I didn't pay to be at the games home and away like the true fans. Football it's a funny old game... UTB
