One of the worst misses I have ever seen for us

Yes true but Didzy contributed something else to the team and overall made a positive impact to the team and was full of effort.

What does Cannon bring to the table? Nothing- so he should be dropped.
I'm just saying that we've missed much, much easier chances, lots and lots of times.

He's not a very good footballer

Are you suggesting you have to be an elite footballer to have an opinion on football?

Watched the snooker last night, my highest break is about 28, but I could see Ronnie was having a shocker.

It’s a forum, fans forum, where fans come to put online what years ago world have been said over a pint after the match, and that miss was shite and would have been talked about

Ronnie's great gift is that he manoeuvres the cue ball like nobody ever has. The pots he has to make are easier on average than any snooker player in history because the cue ball is placed in a better position. A lot of our fans would think him shit because other players are better shot makers. If a top striker and cueist miss a shot it almost always looks worse because they made the chance easier through their own actions before the shot. ROS's cue ball control was terrible this year. A lot of difficult pots.

No, but we're approaching the most important part of the season so it's a legitimate point to be made.

I've previously stood up for Jack Robinson plenty of times on here saying the abuse he got/gets is unacceptable.

If Cannon was booed today that would be unacceptable, but I'm glad/proud of the fact he wasn't.
It is up to Wilder who he chooses. I think that Burrows is the best crosser .Yet he uses a striker in Brewster for corners while he has a hard shot his accuracy is lacking.Brewster being a striker should be around the box to get a shot at the target maybe he misses but he won't score from a corner.

Burrows set pieces this season have ended up in. The crowd more than t shirt cannons

As bad as that miss was, at least he got a shot off. He had presentable chance earlier in the second half but he tripped over his own feet and it came off his standing leg.

It's not the worst miss, but given that he contributes nothing else and his apologists keep telling us he doesn't get the chances, it's not an awfully good look.

I get what you're saying and your approach but IMHO scrutinizing a players' performance in a match and saying that said player should be dropped for the next game(s) is a reasonable topic of conversation on a football forum.
But you also felt the need to grossly exaggerate how bad the miss was, which then invited some other cretin to call him "a wanker of a player".

I thought he was poor, he obviously won't start in the play offs but has every chance of being a good player for us in the years to come.

Take a bow Tom Cannon 👏 👏

Hope he is nowhere near the squad for the play-offs.

With that said nice to see him applauded off by our fans, very sporting.
If that was the worst miss youve ever seen then you ve obviously never seen Connor Salmons.
Connor Salmons make Brewster look like Messi.

Wouldn't think so, we look in a very good place with a good squad, we're not going to do what Luton have done.

No indeed, I was just being disingenuous, as in, that's where Cannon would be useful.

What adversity is he going/gone through?

If appropriate to share on the forum please do so and I'll agree that it wasn't appropriate for me to make that post.

It was shocking in the way that he missed it ballooning it nowhere near the target. Panicked and showed no composure.

Tyrese to start in the play-offs.
Is Tyrese starting in the playoffs even in doubt?
It’s hardly a hot take.

Anyone saying he doesnt get service or given chances needs to watch this game again. He had 3 or 4 chances in this match at least and how many did he score ? Campbell would have had a hat trick today. If there was a match for him to shine then this was the one and he didnt. Some players just dont suit certain teams. Cannon up front on his own is no good he needs a partner.

I wanted to see the chance again before commenting.

The chance definately wasnt easy, but he should have scored.
IF (and its a big if) he had scored more, he probably would have scored because he would have just side footed it jnto the goal, instead of snatching at it and going for more power.

It was a mixed bag today from him, but i do think he was better today IMO.

He forced a good save from the keeper in the first half, but also frustrated me with some of the options he took, that looked like were made without awareness of what was around him.

He worked well with COH on the high press and was part of keeping play in there half.

Others have said, he made some great runs with various degrees of being used directly or used as a decoy.

I do think he was better today, which shows improvements.

For the reason he works harder than Campbell, i think i would start him on Thursday and then look to bring Campbell on, before starting Campbell on Monday.

On another note, COH has to start as he brings so much energy to the team.
Why hasnt he been starting recently???

His movement in and around the box is top drawer. Almost always where he should be. The exact opposite to Brewster. Two runs first half (one narrowly offside). Three great pieces of movement in the box. I can see why he has the goal record at this level that he does. It's s bit weird to have a striker with his skill set. Very strange for us. I'd love to see him playing off a target man type. Should've scored one or two today mind.
Problem is when he gets the ball

I found the Cannon signing baffling, but some of the abuse he gets is ridiculous. It wasn't even the worst miss today. I didn't catch all of the game, but thought he was actually quite decent today. Some people seem to go out of their way to jump on his back. I don't remember a thread on any of Campbells misses, for instance.

David McGoldrick, one of the finest played I have seen for us, still managed to miss a lot like that and from even closer.

It's a cliche, but you have to get into the position to miss. I liked Cannon's movement at times, not all game as he had some frustrating moments too. It was a bad miss, but that doesn't give much on his overall game, which is improving.

I actually thought that One's decision making to try and do his man down a blind alley rather than play the ball to i think Brewster / O'Hare was more frustrating than Cannon's 6 yard miss.

If we go up he will be loaned out or sold at a great loss financially
