BBD is not a right winger, if you want to play BBD change the system and go 2 upfront and put him up top.

If sticking with this system, Hamer should be behind Campbell (not Brewster)

Burnley will drop more points before we play them (15 0-0's this season), but I feel like we will too. So beating them will become mandatory.....

So its in our own hands then.

Before those 2 games you mentioned, we won 26, including 6 straight away wins.. not impossible.

Things need to change though.

This is also taking into consideration Burnley winning the other 4 games besides the match against us, which I don't think will happen..
 
The best two teams were always going to go up in the end and we aren't one of them.
Wilder's done well this season but we have been in a false position and it was predictable it would end like this given a lot of the performances.
Blaster and Peck a decent base for the Champ next year but the huge Wilder failing in spending £10m on a player who's barely Champ standard is going to cost us dear when it comes to the rebuild.
 
I agree with all of the above really...but not to oversimplify it the team that wins most games normally goes up. That's still us.

What was also in our own hands was being 6 or more points clear at the top and going to Burnley for a day out.

Now we have win 5 on the bounce, something that even without looking at most form tables, doesn’t happen often.
 

It is in our hands, yes we do need a response after back to back 1-0 losses, but we aren't out of it.

Burnley dropped points against Derby and Leeds have just picked up their first game in a few weeks.

Plenty of twists and turns to go yet, and a big 5 games for all three of us.

And if in the end we miss out on autos and finish third, then fair play we came up short in what might be the best automatic promotion battle in years.

We've been in the top 4 all season (top 3 for the last few months) and we aren't there by accident, performances might not have always been there but we've been one of the best sides all season and deserve to be where we are.

12 months ago, how many of us thought we would be where we are right now.

What matters now, is mindset.

We can't afford to dwell, or ponder on those two results too much, if at all. Bin them off. They've gone.

In some way, the position we were in was a hugely positive one, well deserved. But it also breeds pressure "Can we keep winning? Will we be good enough, will other teams catch us?"

Well, it's happened now. The feared scenario is here. We've dropped to third place. Nowt left to fear now. It's done. Shake the monkey off your back, and take each game in turn. End of.

Get Souza back on the fucking pitch. I don’t dislike Choudhury - far from it - but he’s been absolutely unnecessary the last two games.
 
Think he needs to use the next 5 games to figure out what his best team is for the playoffs and form some kind of cohesion, so the team are creating chances. The team’s performances have been unconvincing for the majority of the season, autos are now gone, use the last few games to try something different…otherwise we’re sleep walking into an early playoff exit.

This sounds crazy, but I feel much more comfortable in third spot, as we are probably the third best team…I guess we couldn’t handle the pressure of being the league leaders.
Whereas I feel bitterly disappointed at back to back losses, our performances just sail too close to the wind sometimes and you could see these results coming a mile off…Top of the league?…Sadly, we’re having a laugh.
 
Leeds just took 4 points from trips to Luton & Middlesbrough, and Burnley are the form side in the division.
Its hard to see a major collapse from either of them, so I'd be surprised if they don't both get 10 points (especially looking at their run-ins).

So whilst technically is is "'in our hands," with only 5 games remaining and 3 points to make up on Leeds & Burnley that's likely to be 13/15 points needed as well as victory at Turf Moor (Burnley unbeaten in almost 30 games and haven't lost at home this season).

Tough ask at the best of times, and these aren't the best of times.
As I've said on other threads though, there should be zero reason to fear the play-offs. We've got more than enough.

Unfortunately it isn't . We need Burnley or Leeds to drop 3 points compared to us, so it's out of our hands. We are reliant on other results.

If when we play them we beat them*, and win all our games who finishes above who?

*given we havent scored in the last 180 mins and they are tighter at the back than my ex-wife, unlikely I know
 
I reckon we need 96 pts now….so 4 wins & a draw v Burnley to go up now. Very difficult given form in last 2 games. But I do think both Leeds & Burnley will still drop points in next 5 games ( they both dropped 2pts in last 2 games).

It’s probably only a 25% chance now we can go up in autos….but we just have to try & win every game - no point worrying about them now until we mathematically can’t overhaul them.

The reason to fear the play offs is the way we are playing and have been playing all year. Continue with these lacklustre poor performances and we are there for the taking. I have no confidence that we'll get promoted via the play offsz not because of some curse, but because we have ground out results all season playing poorly, and now our luck has run out. Wilder will continue to play two defensive midfielders and Robinson and we will continue to play the same way and make the same mistakes.
