Apparently Leeds are bigger than us and Burnley combined and we’re “not even the biggest club in Sheffield”

Not really bothered about what he thinks because we all know it’s not the early nineties anymore and he’s wrong, but of course they’re lapppng it up over on Porktalk.

No, what I was wondering was if anybody has any idea why he seems to dislike United so much?

It’s not just him constantly bigging up the pigs but his active dislike of United.

Remember when Billy Sharp got assaulted? Somehow that was our fault.

Tevez? Our fault again.

Wrexham? All us.

He just seems to have a real bee in his bonnet about us. He can’t stand us.

What have we ever done to him?

On Talksport by any chance? If any of them ever said anything sensible, we’d all just nod and agree, and then the knuckle draggers wouldn’t phone in their droves frothing at the mouth. Their whole business model is based on winding people up.

No surprise….he’s a closet pig lover. Clearly hates Wilder in particular. He’ll no doubt be one of many ready to jump on the ‘Leeds United’ bandwagon if they go up ahead of us.

Complete wanker!

I like listening to him however he doesn't like wilder which he has stated on several occasions , nothing wrong with that as he's entitled to his opinion.
Stating Leeds are "bigger" is actually true enough, wouldn't argue with that , adding Burnley into the mix is a bit disrespectful to Burnley more than anything .
It is however like saying Palace , Chelsea and Fulham combined aren't as big as Man Utd ... you could make a case but it's pretty irrelevant.

Probably upset that we once took one of his players when Warnock was in charge or something pathetic.

I think he just acts a twat on talksport to keep getting the work tbh.

The funny thing is that nothing is researched with him, it’s just his shoot from the hip opinion and it goes against the grain of what people who’ve researched things say.

Leeds are a big club, that’s without a doubt. Not sure they’re bigger than us and Burnley, but I’ve not looked at their revenues and reach, so they could well be.

Leeds also try to align their rivalry with Man U as Bradford and West Yorkshire rivals haven’t been in their division for long enough to be competitive for long over the last few decades. So right now, their biggest local rival is probably Burnley in terms of distance, fan catchment and current markets that they’re dipping in for players closely followed by us. Leeds play the big fish in the championship, perhaps we do too, nowadays, but Leeds, like us are probably in a group of 10-15 clubs who’ve not quite been good enough for the Premier League but often battling for the top spots of the Championship.

Leeds didn’t take advantage of the Premier League opportunity and their big backing (financial and fan wise) when they were in the Premier league for a few seasons so haven’t broken into the Forest / Villa / Brighton/ Newcastle / Spurs realms

Perception of club size would suggest that Everton are a big club, but for all their time in the Premier League they’ve also never managed to make that leap into the top 6-10 and stay there.

Big club perception means nothing. The biggest club outside the premier league has been our neighbours for eternity in the a premier league era 😂

He used to like Wilder, he turned on Wilder like many of us did when he left and the manner in which he left.

That said he has some weird love for Wednesday and doesn't seem to have an issue with any of their financial mismanagement or points deductions.

Raved about us previously and only turned on Wilder in 2021 after his public comments about the ownership/Prince.

I took his Forest stance to be more about his mate Darren Fletcher's bias that he'd fed him with.

I have heard him say he'd own the Pigs over us due to feeling they have a higher ceiling if given the right amount of backing. Personally I don't see that as something to get either annoyed or insecure about.

I'm not sure that outside SUFC ( even to some within it ) wilder comes across as a very likeable bloke .
He's a bit marmite , a bit Robbie Savage
I get that and accept it.
I also get that given how shite Wednesday have been for the last 25 years people look at their support and somehow admire it .
However I have heard him criticise the castigation of chansiri , putting his chairman's hat on and stating " if you want to write the cheques, then go ahead"
People hear what they want , we all have biased opinions, just hear the bits we agree with or strongly disagree with .
Ultimately it's one person's opinion there to be challenged.

He does like to speak on behalf of chairman but how can he defend Chansiri! I guess he is thinking Wednesday may be sold on the cheap.

He also holds grudges forever, he needs to take a leaf out of the Princes book and let bygones be bygones.

60 year old has been thinks Wednesday are a big club. And yes I am disrespecting all 60 year olds reading. I'm disrespecting you to the max
It's okay they can't turn on the PC in the corner of their room anyway. Not until 6pm when the internet is cheaper anyway. That's the only kind of person who thinks anything about that lot. Similarly stuck in the past.

I haven't heard him defend chansiri , he described him as a "difficult character " .
He tends to default to defend criticism of owners from supporters , there is a difference.
He definitely holds a grudge though and likes to be confrontational which is his MO .

He's a strange bloke and never let's people have a different opinion to him, everything he says is right to himself and just tries talking louder and using long words and answes to come across that he knows what he's talking about, when in reality he doesn't have a clue. Sums up the bloke trying to tell Eddie hearn he's wrong about stuff in boxing and telling him xyz about a sport he knows bugger all about.

Jordan was a poor man's millionaire that run his business and club into the ground by poor mismanagement and had palace as a small tinpot chamionship mistake team, there no wonder since they got took over by a proper business men with money, that they are now successful run premier league main stays.

He would argue that black is white until he's blue in face, utter cock womble.

We must have turned him down for something in past and he seems bitter to us ever since.

He is getting mixed up with his dislike for SUFC and Wilder.
He disliked Wilder as he said he kept threatening to resign to force the Prince to give him a new contract.
His dislike for SUFC relates to us refusing to pay clubs in order to retain our better players and subsequently having a better chance of promotion.

Why he likes our closest neighbours is anyone’s guess, other than feels sorry for them and if that is the case he must have a v long memory which takes him back to when they were better than us.

Didn't warnock put him in his place once ?
Might be wrong
