Did l? You may be correct. Someone did say that though……

“I didn't come on here asking for any sympathy and I understand if you don't give a flying one. You won't have to worry because you will never play us again after this season”

Any guesses?

It's what your fans were singing and it was almost true.

Stand by what I said but I'm glad I was wrong, we did play again and our club didn't die.

What's wrong with it? Genuine question. Common greeting to people down south and in the midlands. Better than 'mate'.
In my experience it’s a phrase used by the kind of people who drink beer in the coffee shops of Eccy Rd and wear jeans with a jacket and tan brogues. Not my kind of people!

I'll hazard a forecast and declare that the amount of United supporters hoping
that CCFC next Saturday beat Burnley FC... Between 99.9% and 100%.

If it wasn't for Billy Moore, no one would be discussing Page Hall with such
passion on here.

Yes thats right - far off days now.

The club completely imploded due to the illegal payments scandal and has in truth never recovered.
Wasnt aware of the illegal payments so I used google to check this. The scandal happened in 1957

I wish it would, then we might not have to endure the likes of you weirdos spending their weekends trying to wind people up, like the troll folk Coventry seem to be.

If anyone on this thread is becoming anxious or feeling any antagonism to
a series of words, sentences, grammar from an unidentifiable person, male or female,
that possibly lives in another area of this island. How can we, as a whole, of contributors,
ease your anxiety. There does seem to be a distinct hatred of tennis balls too.
It's not a case Dr Freud has experience in...

This above all: to thine own self be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man…….

This was the first passage of Shakespeare’s works I ever learned . I was seven years old at the time and have never forgotten a word of it .

The circumstances were that my 13 year old sister would sit me beside her while she was doing her homework and encourage me to learn what she was learning , for which I have always been truly grateful .
