Put Souza and Gilchrist back in assuming they're fit.

Coventry dangerous going forward and Seriki doesn't fill me with confidence positionally in defence.

If Souza is fit, he obviously comes straight back in.

Seriki is fine defensively, certainly doesn't deserved to be dropped
 
Still playing Hamer on the wing? Happy with that if you are. Will be a good battle Hamer v MVE.

He's not great defensively, but neither are the alternatives.
He gets caught out positionally when we lose possession and is often unaware of what's behind him when defending crosses from the other wings.

But... unlike the others, he has pace to make recovery tackles and his attacking output gives his opposite number something to consider going the other way.
He's usually good for at least 1/2 goalscoring opportunities p/game when he gets to the byline.

He's gone on a bit of a journey these last few games, and the more I reflect on his performance at Hillsborough the more impressed I am at how he came through.
They targeted him and he dealt with everything and didn't hide.

He's our academy product, I'd much rather we stick with him for the run-in (fitness / form permitting).
 

If he's fit he needs to not get injured again. Once he's back in, he needs to stay in for the rest of the season. One more breakdown from him and we're fucked. I'd not risk him from the start on Friday

Best choice of players assuming Vini is not yet ready , although I would have BBD wide left where he has always been most effective throughout his career ( including last season with us ) , Hamer central and O’Hare on the right .
 
He hasn't been effective on the left for us this season. He doesn't look half as fit. Still better than other options though

Get where you're coming from, however it's no longer a marathon but now a sprint to the finish line.

This is where you put your turbo blasters on full and pick your strongest team for every one of the final 8 games and don't look back.

Yes. The derby was a big game for him. The first few minutes were tough, as you say, he was a target. But he stood strong, took the blows and came through it. He surprised me with his temerity and attitude. Ironically, it was his poor touches in their box that marked him down.

Only surprising selections:

Holding
Coventry have a strong attack and I believe pose an increased aerial threat.
I'd really like to see more of Holding in the run-in as he's an intelligent calm head.

It might seem harsh dropping BBD, but from what I've read / heard Coventry's left is an area to attack. I just feel JRS & Seriki's combined direct, trickery might bring some joy.

O'Hare & Hamer on the pitch to hopefully bring the ex-player curse. Regardless, you'd expect them both to be fired up.

Can't see 5 strikers and 0 midfielders on bench Capt. No need to have One... Brooks or Shackleton instead.

he definetly is and gives us so much pace down our right side and when he does anel goes wider to cover for him with choudray or peck dropping in to centre back he has to play in this game
 

I'm surprised Wilder hasn't put Brooks on the pitch with Seriki then because they've looked like a genuine partnership previously
