The ultimate momentum shift would be the porkers getting into the playoffs and going up after beating us.
When they beat us tomorrow that nightmare is definitely on.
Souttar's injury and wasting £10m on Cannon the probable turning points in this season and beyond given the Cannon spend has drained potential for future squad building.

Anel - who was one booking away from a two match ban, but should now be OK to see the season out with us?

Hamer - who has been carrying an injury for weeks, and needs time management? Lose him, and it’s goodbye to our chances.

Souza - who came off saying he’d hurt his hamstring, and went for a recent scan?

Holding - who hasn’t played a senior competitive match for over a year, and managed 75 mins as part of his recovery programme?

Which of those would you have played? What would you do next when Hamer, Souza and Holding break down?

We're now in 3rd place with Burnley winning today.

We have a game in hand with the Steel City derby the real defining moment in the season tomorrow.

Win, and we can get back on level terms with Leeds and leapfrog Burnley again.

Lose, and that basically means the playoffs and we all hate playoffs as its a crapshoot at best.

With so much on the line tomorrow, there can be no excuses for starting slow, are trying to contain, or any form of playing around at the back: every single player must realize the implications of not winning tomorrow so they must leave everything they have and more on that Hillsborough shit house of a pitch.

Both teams need a win in the game tommorow,they possibly need it more than us,it will make them more anxious,bide your time United then kill em when the opportunity>'s come along as they surely will.

Yeah, what a difference that would have been if we could have kept Bristol City at bay. We could have been going to the sty with our tails up…Sadly it wasn’t to be, so the pressure is with us now.

Sorry, have I missed something? I was under the impression that the season finished in May.

Tomorrow’s game is big, but not season defining. Win and we’re still below Leeds on goal difference. Lose and we’re still just a point outside the top two. I think Wednesday will come at us tomorrow, they’re better going forward than defending. As long as we hold firm at the back we should pick them off. My only worry really is how many injuries we’re carrying. I’m assuming Souza isn’t going to be playing, fingers crossed that Hamer and Campbell are fit enough to play a full part.

They are better than us in pretty much every department. Wilder is keeping up pace with them. Everyone forgets they spent ridiculous money to get promoted then got their and did the same again.

We on the other hand got promoted and sold our star players. We just aren’t the same. Maybe now the Americans are here we may be able to compete. But 1 window wasn’t enough to bridge the gap.

In terms of season importance it's no bigger than last Saturday or Tuesday night. Defining moment in the season? As it stands that will possibly be Burnley away.
 
If we do finish 3rd totally on Wilder with how we started against Bristol, what a total FU….

Having said that.. I had us drawing against Bristol, Pigs and Cov, but still beating Burnley to second place by 1 point… there’s MASSIVE pressure on us tomoz

Maybe it's time for a discussion on wilder vs parker:
* Tactics, and when to try and change a game.
* Parker has a vision tunnel focusing 100% on what Burnley do, as opposed to Wilder who has to keep on discussing other teams rather than having United as his pure objective.
* Emotion, Parker is calm and keeps things in perspective, wilder tends to praise massively, or vice versa ?
