This time two weeks ago Leeds were basically up according to many! Things can change in the blink of an eye in this league.

The promotion and title race is wide open, it's a three horse race and I predict it goes to the wire.

Agree…..i’ve always thought of them as the most northern club in the south and I mean that as a complement.

Looking forward to seeing the Portsmouth versus Southampton derby next season. The last time they played each other in the league was 2012.

So true. If we had held on and won at the Lane, we would be 6 points in front of them and Burnley would be in second place.
Some games are more important than others and we really need to get a good result against Burnley at Turf Moor.

I am confident we can win in all our remaining home games. Wendy and Burnley, I will be very happy to get a draw Wendy since I learned my lesson on the dreadful boxing day at Stadium of Rust. I am sure sausage roll will make it awkward for us, Burnley away is very tricky delighted with a draw there. The rest of the away games are winnable in my humble opinion. we could get 100 points and win the championship that we silence the leeds scum once and for all. we can do it, UP THE BLADES.

Nobody is expecting them back.

They are significant though.

The media fawning over Leeds as the best team in the league when on the field United have been better I.e. minus outside interference we’ve accumulated two more points. We’re the better team over 36 matches.

It’s only that technicality that brings us level.

So yes, we have to live with it, but it is annoying the media have been quick to forget the * that should be alongside our name. Without it, we’ve probably been rightfully top for some weeks.

Chris has a chance to overcome this now. There’s no manager better at keeping the hammer down.

We HAVE to be 4pts above Burnley by the time we play them 3 or less and a defeat puts us back 3rd

That's true, and I've got no problem with that - results show that he's been doing a great job so far in managing players sensibly.
My specific worry for this one is that it's 'them lot' on Sunday, and he wants that win as much as any of the rest of us. I hope he doesn't allow his passion to cloud his judgement into wholesale changes tomorrow - we've seen too often that we can't cope with that. Bristol City are playing well, and their situation means that they will feel they need a win. They won't need asking twice if we leave the door open.
Three points for us on Tuesday would weigh very heavy in minds in Leeds - one point from six, five points clear turns into three points behind, memories of last season. We need every advantage we can get.

If (and its a big if) this s the start of another Leeds collapse, its starting a little earlier than prior seasons.

In 18/19 we beat them in game 38 and their record in the final 8 games was W3, D1, L4 (10Pts)

Last year they went into 1st place for the first time that season, in game 38. But the last 8 they finished with W2, D2, L4. (8 Pts)

This is all a little premature - they could go W5, D1, L4 (16 points) in their last 10 games and still finish on 92 points (as could we) - which would be a 2nd tier record for 3rd place (if we and Burnley bettered that record)

Oh, I agree - and I fully expect whoever finishes 3rd to have more than 90 points. And unfortunately (for competitions sake) I suspect that will become a regular occurrence in the Championship.

Much as I would love to win the title ... Its more important to just get promoted so Burnley are the ones we need to beat both in points and hopefully at Turf Moor.
Still think Leeds win the title as they certainly have the easiest run in .
we seem to just do enough in many matches whereas the other 2 seem to be blowing teams away many times so its frustrating how we play sometimes.
