Rotherham have started from scratch re drains etc they also have a part synthetic pitch
Bang next to the River Don though, I would have thought that would effect the draining of the water away when it's as high as it currently is.

Heavy rain forecasted for this Friday so it looks like our match at Crewe will be postponed!

Me either. I'm having to prioritise my Spanish lesson over the match. When do we ever play on bloody Wednesdays?!

Creo que no entiendan por qué estamos jugando en un miércoles

Good a student of foreign languages....more the better.
I don't think they understand that we are playing on a Wednesday.

Cant see it being on. Would end up being a right state after 2 games in 4 days in that state. There were loads of people complaining about the state of the picth last season, we'll end up in the same boat again at this rate.

Boat being the operative word Jehovah.
There's enough water in that six yard box to sail the Bridlington Queen through it.

Maybe fortunate i've not bought my match ticket, however I have bought my train tickets. Going to be a very short 'city break' for me tomorrow.

Also, why don't clubs just cover the pitch with a plastic sheet of some sort?

They covered it before the Fulham game so it would have made sense to cover it again. Although I don't suppose keeping it covered will do it any good either.

Just for a change... It's raining.

Doesn't look like it plans on going daylight anytime soon either.

And the rest of the world wonders why northern Europeans turn to drink!

Sí. Me gusta aprender lenguas y hablo un poco de alemán y francés también.

Although I have to cheat when it comes to accented letters because I can't remember where they are on the keyboard...

á é í ó ú - Alt gr + the relevant letter

ñ - Alt+0241

ü - Alt+0252

¿ - Alt+0191
¡ - Al+0161

Or you could activate the Windows International keyboard and use the following:

Acute Accent (e.g.Ó) ('+V) - Type apostrophe (singe quote), then the vowel.

Ñ,ñ Type SHIFT+~, then either lowercase n or capital N.

Ü, ü ("+V) - Type apostrophe (singe quote), then lowercase or capital U.

¿ Alt Gr+?

¡ Alt Gr+1

All of this Spanish - is it preparation for Europe in 5 years time?

I'm positioning myself for a La Liga scouting job for United when the time comes. I'd happily commute into Germany too.

"Ich möchte ein großes Bier bitte" works as well as "una jarra de cerveza por favor".

I thought it was some sort of Scottish Rab C Nesbitt translation for our Scots players when I read the first 2 words..'Si me'.

But first back to your day job and smile.

Good news. We were without Maguire and Porter so gives us a chance to freshen up the squad including (hopefully) one more striker by the next time we play them

Fixture backlog gets worse if Swindon beat Peterborough in the JPT Area Final as we're due to play them (Swindon) on JPT final weekend.

Could of course play Peterborough on that weekend if they go out - would give us an extra Saturday home game.

EDIT: Forget about the ****ing pigs being at home!!

Not good news IMO.
I know Harry is suspended but i would have liked to take the momentum from the cup into this game.
A fixtuire pile up is not good news either for a squad so small.

What a load of shite! I just walked home and it's not even raining!

Is there evidence that there is a higher risk of injury from muddy pitches or hard pitches ? Get it played. As long as the streets around the ground are clear and lives are safe then these soft arses should be getting shit up and playing.

What a joke

I disagree. There are plenty of spare midweeks in March and April.
Why impose a definite fixture pile up on ourselves now (5 games in 14 days)?
When the odds are that Fulham will be the last cup match and we'll slot the postponed games in comfortably.
Crewe away on Saturday is an absolutely vital six-pointer and we'll be much fresher for it now.

Good point 2nd tenor if the Crewe match is called off a fixture backup is a real concern all they do is add injuries through fatique not what a small squad needs in a relegation battle..
