Vinny Souza.

Choudary interest is slightly baffling as will he come to sit on the bench as I dont think you play Souza and Choudary together. So it may be that Choudhary is Souzas replacement....just speculating

I don't think it's inconceivable that a team in our position should have quality CDMs in the squad. Yes Vini starts when fit, but as we have seen recently, players are getting run into the ground due to our lack of depth in key positions and we can't risk that happening again on the run in.

Even if only starts a handful of games and comes on as a sub elsewhere, he'll still be getting more time than he is at Leicester. And he gets the chance to add a promotion to his CV.

Choudhury is 27, two years older than Vini. Defensive midfielders rely on their athleticism a lot so 20 to late 20s is pretty much their peak. You'd think that Choudhury is on a substantially higher wage than Vini which would eat up part of any fee received for Vini. Vini has 2.5 years left on his deal so we should be considering getting both him, Anel and a few others tied down.

like choudray but doyle would be the better signing for me if were keeping souza hes a box to box player and has shown what a cracking shot hes got on him mind get em both in if we can afford em nowt like competition for places

Am I right in saying Choudray can also play CB? Could he be coming in to cover 2 positions

He's been used at RB recently but think he's filled in at CB in the past. I don't think we'd be bringing him in for those roles but handy to have in emergencies.

Amazing The difference between playing in the premiership last year to championship this, if Souza continues doing well he'll not be here even if we go up imo

He certainly won't be here if we don't go up. But then you could probably say that about one or two others as well.

There's nothing in this I'm sure of it.

Few reasons.

1. Whilst we may be able to get get him back fee wise for not a great deal (As they likely owe us instalments) that also eats back into our money in with the accounts.
2. If he's done OK for Wolfsburg then there will be other suitors. IF of course they sell him. If they do go down he might just stick it out in bundesliga 2 like he did with us.
3. I think he enjoyed it here last season but I imagine he would want to aim higher in the English leagues if he was to return to England.

On top of the above, I enjoyed watching him really dominate most players he came up against last season. But it was more of the physical side of things for the most part.
What Souza enabled us to do was win the ball back or break up play for us to start an attack. He gave us some protection too defensively.

However I would caveat, he didn't really show in the PL that he could keep up with the speed of the game in that level. Sure I think not having much of a pre-season before signing for us did not help. But even so, that would be my instinct.

Wolfsburg look like they're gonna be relegated and Vinnie has not been regular starter getting subbed on and off most games.

He was arguably the biggest loss of the 3 that left (out of him, Anel and KM)

He was so dominant as a ball-winning midfield enforcer.

Him alongside Jairo and Peck would transform us.

Would love to get him back.

Doubt we could afford him, but I would take him back, if only for his ability to last 90 mins.

Not a chance that we could afford him, or he would entertain further championship football.

Some waffle on a known clickbait website, isn't a rumour. The waffle even says; there's no way he'd come here.
