He’s absolutely diabolical, I’m sick of us having an attritional manager, he’s scared of his own piss, if Hamer was fit enough for the bench start him, if Holden is fit playe him and drop bomb scare Robbo,; I just wish we could wipe the slate clean, but the new owners have decided to give Wilder another massive pay day… very prematurely. a decent manager with this team would not have lost that match… he doesn’t know what system suits the players or what players suits the system.. he’s a joke and if the owners are serious about this club they need to get rid, or They’re gonna lose hundreds of millions and if they don’t have that we’re gonna fine ourselves in admin…

Wilder has done a better job than anyone else possibly available in the summer. And personally I reckon nobody else could do better given the circumstance. He deserves great credit.

But….

Just don’t fucking give him £10m+ to spend on one player. Campbell or Cannon… 99.8% would say the former is the 8 figure signing after seeing them play. Cannon will prove to be a completely awful Brewster-level signing. Utterly gobsmacked that transfer was even sanctioned.

What did Robbo do wrong tonight?

Whoa whoa..... listen. Leeds United are a fantastic football team with top top football players. And what a powerful powerful football club. Easily top 4 in Europe. We have to be honest and admit that we just don't belong on the same pitch or in the same stratosphere. They really are phenomenal from top to bottom and words can't express my admiration for them. With that in mind, leading the game against them for 70 minutes will go down as one of the great football achievements this century. And you want to get rid of the manager who masterminded that achievement? Just insane. Remember, we are only Sheffield United. We need to know our place

Really?
You need to stay off substances if you really believe that bs.

Can't say I agree. This time last year most reasonable people would have been delighted to be in second spot with a rebuilt squad at this point. A few specific points:

1. Who is Holden?
2. What did Robbo do wrong in this one?
3. Hamer is our best player so I get wanting him as an option in a big game even if not 100% fit. It didn't work out this time. It happens.
4. Do you really think we were attritional? I thought we took the game to them - particularly first half. I must admit I have never really got attritional as an insult in football anyway - by definition it means you win by wearing the opposition down. In this case I think Leeds were attritional as that's eventually what they did to us.

JLT's throws helped tonight because their keeper is their weakest link. Would like to have seen us pepper him even more with shots and crosses though.

It seemed clear from Hamer's contribution when he came on that he wasn't 100% but at that stage of that game it was worth a try to see if he could help us over the line.

As for Wilder, he's building something here he needs more time and space to do that.

Leeds are better equipped this season because Farke was allowed to do that.

Unless it’s building a team fit to compete with little money Wilder shouldn’t be the man to build anything else I’m afraid

Wilder needed to work for that contract renewal. Half a season of doing well with a team he should be doing well with isn't worth a new deal.
A summer rebuild, he had his hands tied behind his back on the final day of the transfer window. At times this season we’ve had a squad full of youngsters, a points deduction and still been top of the league for most the season. He’s had to deal with a takeover in the back ground too. This is why he got a new deal - look where Luton are. That could have easily been us with the shit we’ve had to deal with.

Also you have a manager going into a promotion race on less that 6 months on his deal, that isn’t good for anyone. You want everyone working together.

If the argument was Wilder shouldn’t have got 3 years then that’s absolutely fair

Stop losing your heads because we’ve lost last night. Leeds are by far the best team in the league, you could see that last night.

So to recap, that’s the JTW where we brought in BBD, Cannon, Choudhury, Clarke, Caceres & Nwachukwu? And nearly brought in Dunne and JJK?

His obsession with playing Choudhury, Clarke & Cannon is what could end up costing us promotion. That, and his baffling reluctance to play Holding. And his weird substitutions.

The jury is still out for me. I'm still annoyed at how he flounced out last time.

He's good at rebuilding and he's done a very good job in the summer. Sorted out the atrocious defence and coped well with losing Arblaster who was becoming a pivotal player.

Losing Souttar has changed the dynamic as the platform is wobblier than it was before.

He's been well backed in the JTW. I'm expecting some good performances as well as points now he's got a big and strong squad. No excuses now, his side needs to have some style.

I'll be judging at the end of the season, IF we get promoted, we may well need a different type of manager.

No? The transfer window where the owner stopped all incomings and sold 3 squad players? I didn’t mention January.

He was backed in January and did some very good business, filling the team with more experience.

I’m not going to lose my head because we lost to Leeds & I’m not going to think Wilder needs sacking because of it either. Leeds have better players, they signed Daniel James for £25m who tore us a new one.

For the majority of yesterday we were the better team, we just gassed out.

It’s the same posters who were saying we’d struggle this season, mid table, bottom half or even have a relegation fight on our hands.
I personally don’t mind em,just makes me glad that I’m not one of em.
Wilder could fart the greasy chip butty in morse code over the tannoy and not so much as a smirk would cross their miserable chops.

If we go up we should replace Wilder immediately

The owners have made that awkward with the ridiculous contract extension, but they seem very keen to waste money so I guess it's no real obstacle

Let him leave on a high. What's the inevitable alternative, if we're honest? We're bottom, he's out of his depth, he becomes toxic, the bottom lip gets rolled out, the toys are thrown, and he leaves on a sour note again. That wouldn't be fitting or fair

Suggestion of the season, which should be presented to the Supporter Liaison Officer, at the very least.

I like Wilder, he's been very good for us, and of course 'he's a Blade'. However, I seriously think we need to take a hard look at our prospects 'if' we go up. It's not that I don't rate him... Shit, I get confused! Should we be looking for a more tactically aware coach? Do we want the next Guardiola-alike European manager that comes available? Is the 'hard press' past it's sell-by date? So many questions. Glad I don't own a football club.

This must be the reason so many fans with zero understanding of professional football claim our manager is tactically inept.

They cry about something like substitutions, have the completely logical reasons why they were made explained to them, but they ignore it and continue to make a fool of themselves. Some are trolls/pigs, but some are just so wounded by his previous departure that they are primed to hate everything he does.

Whatever he does now, however successful he is, we'll never have a proper atmosphere and feel good factor at the club until he's gone. These fans will never come around, clearly.

The new owners used AI to find future playing prospects, I wander if they will use it to look at a future manager? Is there a manager out there, unknown but punching way above his weight? Sounds crazy, but.......
