Brownhill is to Burnley what Hamer is to us. Brownhill has been out injured for 4 matches and Burnley have stuttered. Enter tonight after an hour and he changed the game with his first touch. Leading scorer now with 10 goals. He was the best player on the pitch by some distance when they beat us 0-2 on Boxing Day.

The difference between autos and play offs may well be keeping Hamer fit for the rest of the season.

After the Leeds game, which is a free hit, we are going to have to be damm near perfect to get second place. 98 points required

1. In the real world #sufc are the pigs but neither should be.
Why - because in the day working people ate cheap fatty ie STREAKY bacon.
People would not eat bacon re RED and white stripes on bad days for Wendy.
Do NOT eat bacon if it is blue and white stripes.
It would not be good.
2. I have voted for a (hoped) Wendy win.
It would make life easier (hopefully)
But Burnley will be wound up by the crasse imbeciles on FootballHeaven and 0-0 and 1-0 scorelines jibes.
eg Arsehole Adam on Saturday and Stalin Statton again last night.
Just the same as Radio Leeds will be taking the piss out of Wilder again re his imbecilic statements.
(Even Leigh Bromby last game)
3. I'm expecting 3 or more goals for Burnley
Why? They attack WIDE unlike the imbecile Wilder.
It creates chances as the 2-0 wins they had against both teams in Sheffield.
Wednesday cannot defend crosses/freekicks without injuries let alone now.
4. There is always hope and flukes but expecting game to be decided when I get back from shops at half time.
(NOTE Boro 3 v 0 Wendy HT - 3-3 full time)
God, I'm glad people like you are only an online forum to me and not someone I'd have a beer with.

Blade my arse.

Yes , history has shown that a single player can have an enormous impact on the outcome of a game and Hamer is clearly one of that special breed .

I desperately hope that he is available on Monday and if so and performs like he did against Boro , they have a serious problem to contend with .

I mean, it's a home game. Against Leeds United, not Manchester City. How can that be a free hit for a club that wants to get promoted?

I'll be hugely disappointed if Wilder reactivates the 3 at the back for this game again like he did in the reverse fixture. This game is an opportunity to make a statement.

And the rumours are, Hamer's out for a few weeks..

Sheffield Midweek, promoted in August, nailed on Playoffs and beating the Blades in December to reality dawn's in February.

Sausage roll not quiet the genius they like to think. Maybe he should give Fat Frank a ring at Coventry to get some tips.

Feckin useless!

Always helps when you have a mid table
Premier league player in a decent championship side (Leeds- James and arguably a couple others, us- hamer, Burnley- Trafford and Edwards).

So, pigs losing 3-0 to the draw specialists. So much for Sausage Rohl being their messiah! LOL!!!!
Rohl has shown once again to be the innovator. When faced with 0-0 draw specialist, Burnley, Rohl has provided a tactical master class to prevent a 0-0 draw by losing 4-0. He really is a genius

Over 33 games so far on the pitch they have accumulated exactly the same amount of points as us. Some peoples attitude towards them is unbelievable. If we approach the game with the right team / attitude we are good enough to beat them 100%.

People talking like they have already won the league and only worrying about Burnley, we can go above them with a win ffs.

Agree….if we’re as good as I think we are….then we don’t have to rely on other teams.

We now have a much better squad than what we did at the beginning of the season.
So in theory we should amass more points in the 2nd half of the season….meaning we should be in the late 90’s, maybe 100 points.

Also wasn’t impressed at all tonight with Burnley, we can beat them at Turf Moor.

Personally I think Burnley will beat us at their place and pip us to 2nd place, for all the competition for places we're a mid table/pushing playoffs team without Hamer, if he gets a bad injury we're done.

Plus wilder has a habit of playing players based on how much he's paid for them rather than merit and he tends to be very negative in big games (Leeds away).

Really, really hope I'm wrong but I think we will lose to both Leeds and Burnley

They are not good enough or consistent enough to be realistic play off contenders.

They are no where near as good as any of the current top 4 so none of them should be particularly worried about dispatching them over two legs in the play offs should they get there.

They have barely taken any points of teams above them all season

IF they made the play offs and then managed to get promoted with a crumbling ground, awful faculties, an owner who is clearly skint and a squad they compiled largely in league one then good luck to them. They’d find out just how long and gruelling a season in the top flight is when you are woefully unequipped. They’d be worse than us last season.

Our priority has to be going up automatically and to do that we need Burnley and Sunderland to drop as many points as possible and us to gain as many as possible.
Looking at it that way, you'd almost want them to win the play offs with us up automatically as it would be the easiest 6 points in the top league, whatever it's called these days. Has the word premier in it.

Though I guess the 6 points would be largely useless given everyone else would also get 6 points

Free hit on Monday for us, at home can’t drop down to third every reason to go for it al la Boro, question is with a full squad will Wilder bottle it again.

We’ll know 1hr before KO if he starts with Vini/Hamsa MF and TC up front.

Wilders record against the teams around us isn't great, let's hope he's grown a pair for the Leeds visit !

Also I f we are not preparing to go for a win against Leeds and be positive then good luck in the prem!..again.

There is absolutely no way Burnley are getting to 97pts!

-They'll lose at least one of their last 12.
-They've won 18 of 34 this season (that's just over half). So they're unlikely to win more than 7 or 8 of last 12.
-So if we're VERY generous and say Burnley get 8 wins + 3 draws (1 loss)... They'd finish on 95 points.
-7 wins and 4 draws and Burnley would finish on 93 points.

tonights game just highlights pigs lack of quality in both penalty boxes woeful finishing and garbage defending until they invest in quality additions which isnt happening under chansiri they will remain a mid to lower end championship club lets see how long rohl puts up with this situation still think southampton will be back in for him this summer

But if you lose out on automatically promoted then with Burnley taking your place on goal difference you will think differently....i know we are crap and won't go up thankfully I keep my money to my family now. Fuck off chansiri

But i don't think it will come down to goal difference. If we finish above Burnley then I think it will be by a point or more rather than GD. Before the game I wanted a draw last night. But once you went 2 down, i just wanted to see SWFC get battered.

Watched on the pub, fuckin brilliant result
We went in The Chantry last night and there was a group of about 10 pig fans sat round a couple of tables watching the TV when a fairly pissed up Blades fan came in. He stood inbetween the pig fans and the TV with his arms out and went through his repertoire starting with ‘you’re fucking scum, you’re fucking scum’ followed by ‘you’re fucking shit, you’re fucking shit’ and did his encore of ‘you’ll never see the play offs’. He was then dragged out of the pub by his sober mate whilst his face was still intact……quite remarkable (funny though).

Hahaha good.

I remember when I were about 14 year old in my United shirt alone going to shops (lived on Woodseats) and some scruff pig stood outside Chantry calling me a piggy bastard. Was shocked because always thought it was all Blades back then.
