Well...beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and from where I read your debate, there was good points made on both sides....and the same with the 'point scoring' too.
I could see both sides of the debate, but today's transfer activity (and the possible third transaction) kind of usurps your original assertion, whatever your opinion of the incomings. Brayford would appear to be an upgrade on current incumbents.

Must admit, seeing another poster comment on your 'creativity' did raise a smile. But as ever, you just had to come back and sternly offer a rebuttal. If any of what I wrote was pointless why on earth did you respond to each of my posts? Now that really is pointless. UTB

Oh dear, it's like reading the agonised 'no one understands me' pleadings of a self-harmer (and I don't say that lightly).

I really do enjoy your quasi-philosophical comments about my pointlessness, and as for replying to other poster's comments? What I did say was that I enjoyed reading them, surely you can tell the difference?

3 players - and now a 4th. Would you really want to totally rebuild the squad during the January transfer window? Now that would really smack of desperation.

I am concerned about the lack of a 2nd striker (so far) though. I'm sure Paynter is a big step up, but my word we need an enormous one.

Unfair to comment on Scougall at this stage and certainly Bob Harris at left back with Brayford at right back is a step in the right direction. If he gets another front man in before deadline day, I reckon we come out a lot stronger (not difficult I admit) than we went in to the window.

I know when it comes to SUFC I'm a cynical old bastard but today's transfer activity still says to me that McCabe and his royal side kick have not put a bean into the transfer kitty. Anyone else think the delay in incomings were a very much wait until we got the £500k cash injection from the McMahon deal ? Not for a minute am I saying we have not done well today but if we have indeed made £500k on McMahon then we are well in profit in this JTW.

Why would we get 500k for Tony McMahon who is out of contract in the summer?
