Always quite liked Wes, and thought he was a decent shot stopper at Championship level but Cooper is such an upgrade. Makes a massive difference to have someone who just doesn’t really make mistakes in net.
 
Early on in the season I found it so hard to judge him as he was hardly tested.


He's good. Is he better than Henderson or the best of Ramsdale? Hard to tell.

I think he's unquestionably better than Ramsdale. Far more assured.

Henderson - tough to tell.
Two extremely different characters.
Cooper's distribution is better. I think he commands his box better.
Henderson might be a better shot stopper, but hard to tell.
 
As an ex medal winning keeper,he is excellent,footwork,positioning,catching,confidence,distribution has receded a little because we are going longer. Overall a top top signing.

Comfortably better than both. Ramsdale is for me a good but scrappy shot stopper and slightly frenetic. Lower PL quality. Henderson has more polish in terms of shot stopping but not the authority. Cooper has authority, shot stopping and calmness. Only thing he lacks is high end ability on the ball. But he’s a PL keeper no doubt and will be worthy of an international squad place too.
 
Definitely the best keeper I've seen in my time supporting united and we've had some great keepers. Dean Henderson I'd say was the best until Cooper. Alan Kelly was a great keeper but Cooper is a different level.

We’ll see if he’s better than Henderson when we go up. Ramsdale it’s hard to be objective because I don’t like him and really like cooper. Not sure cooper will ever be a premier league title chasing first choice (for a bit), but I know who I’d rather have here. Either way hopefully our number 1 for a long while to come.

I think Cooper gives more confidence at the back than either Wes or Hendo. But given it’s a different team in front of him it’s probably impossible to make a sure conclusion.
 
Qualities of a top goalkeeper
Decision making
Anticipation
Reading the game
Brave
Good feet
Moves off his toes
Just need to get his kicking right
 

Cooper's been an outstanding acquisition especially for the price we paid (which was a steal!).
As for his current valuation, difficult to gauge, but I'd suggest that given our position you could easily be thinking
upwards of £30mil.

What our current squad also reveals is that since Souttar's departure just how much we need two improvements
at CH. JTL shouldn't, despite his willingness to compete, command a first team position, and Anel has also shown
fragility in both this season and last season. Cooper has been superb so far, but it seems sensible to give the guy as much
defensive cover in front of him as we can recruit.
