This would be the right lineup.. but do you really think Wilder would take all his new signings out?

I wish he would, but just don't see it happening.
We need to use the squad, some will come on as subs and some will start on Saturday

I'd have that line-up as well with one change, Tom davis for peck, just his big match experience is so vital, Sydies time will comes
I'd be very surprised and delighted if Davies makes the bench

Last time Boro visited. 30 mins before kick off a coach parked up next to shoreham st news and emptied full of Boro firm- taking pops at everyone, parents , shirters. Was no fucking police anywhere. So just be mindful of any coaches on that side of the ground.

Over a full season I agree with this, but as we enter the final 3rd of the season and start counting down games left, this is the time where you play your best starting lineup every game and go hard and fast from minute 1 and bring on the squad players when the starters begin to tire.

i agree but we have to go back to the system that got us in this position having said that i would still like to see hamer more central where he can influence things more think too many newbies have been thrown in at once and it showed against pompey

Think wilder will resort to safety first, with Ohare in front of midfield 4 chasing everything down and a lone striker up front

True, but we don't seem to know our best team yet

Be same lineup as Saturday or Gilchrist for Clarke because he had a stinker.
He’ll try and shoe horn all these players in because he’s got to justify signing them.

Start of a sticky patch tonight.

1-3

Why have most fans dropped Robbo ? He was our best defender against Portsmouth . Burrows and Clarke had a stinkers and Holding looked dodgy but Robbo looked fine but according to most on here he should be dropped .

Mr Carrick, scouting report just landed on United.

Ok lad just the basics please none of this opta gx data shit bollocks.

Well it says Cooper the keeper is a given as is Brewster. Our man says Wilder has got to shoehorn him in somewhere so our only problem, if you could call it that, is where he puts him, so essentially don’t worry. Wherever he is won’t affect us.

He’ll stick to the 4-2-3-1.

Danger man is Rak-Sakyi. Can rip you a new one on your left all night long. No worries though he reckons he won’t start him. He never tracks back to help his full back and boy have they got problems at Full back. Teams have been concentrating on Gilchrist and now Clark for months and that’s where they’re weak. Our man recommends watching the Portsmouth video.

Our Man says Wilder has a stubborn streak about playing inverted so he reckons he’ll stick with Diaz on the right where he’ll be useless at covering the full back. It’s expected he’ll wander around a bit not knowing whether to go forward or back. Just as stubborn with Hamer who he’ll put on the left, so we reckon Brewster is in the middle of the three behind Cannon up top in the hope he’ll join in the attack now and again. Don’t worry about Cannon. He’s lost in this system. But he won’t use Campbell because he needs him off the bench with RakSakyi for when they’re two down.

Midfield Souza and Davies. Reckons Wilder will keep Peck back because this “is a game for experienced players”. Our man reckons that even Wilder wouldn’t dare starting Choudray after his abject performance against Portsmouth. Just hassle Davies to hell, he says he likes to turn into trouble. Defence Clarke, someone called Anel, a Robinson and a Burrows.

On previous evidence our man says Wilder will play it cautious and slow first half. Possession will be everything looking for a single goal to defend. He says cut out the balls to the fullbacks from the centre halves and massive press of four onto keeper and halves. 1st half just go for it as they’ll turn over possession and then get down their right. Wilder won’t change it until they’re two down and having to chase the game so try and get it done 1st half and shut up shop.

Our man Fallowfield says it should be a piece of piss really but don’t FFS take sandwiches into the dug out and get your money on Wayne Rooney as their next manager after they lose in the playoffs.

Need to play better than any game we have played since mid December to get anything from this one.

We will need to score at least twice to get a point possibly more as our post Souttar defence will concede chances that this Boro side will take.

Heart says we will click going forward and get a decent point in a 2-2 draw

Head says we lose 1-3

Would love to see Gus alongside Vini but can't see it!

If I was in charge it would be;

Coops

Clarke
Holding
Anel
Burrows

JRS
Vini
Gus
BBD

COH
Cannon

I think after the Pompey debacle Wilder will go with;

Coops

Clarke
Anel
JLT
Burrows

Gus
Vini
Peck
BBD

COH
Cannon

I’m not sure he’ll change anything maybe Gilchrist for Clarke, don’t think there will be wholesale changes.

I genuinely have no idea how tonight might play out.

If we aren't on it and Boro really turn up I could see them sticking a few past us easily. That's not be bashing the team, as I am a clapper, but we are re setting with players returning from injury and new players getting up to speed. I trust Chris to get the blend right and if our attack clicks we could equally cause Boro some major problems, as their defence is poor.

At the same time I wouldn't be surprised if we cancel each other out and play to a bore draw. I would take that as it keeps us in 2nd, provided we go on and beat Luton next, before the mighty Real Leeds roll into town.

Spoke to a Boro mate earlier and he's not confident of getting anything. Apparently they were defensively shocking against Sunderland.

I think it might end in a draw

Cooper will probably start. Outside of that, expect Wilder to be stubborn with his picks.

Peck, plays best coming off the bench, so he might start.

Brewster, Choudray and Canon will start because Wilder likes them.

Hamer will start, but in the wrong position.

I don't recall much of the previous game but I do remember thinking 15/1 for Latte Lath was a good punt for next goalscorer when he came on late and immediately banged one in. They're without him now. Doak has been injured the last 2 games too. I watched the 2nd half of them against Sunderland and they should have conceded 2 goals in the 90+. Ayling is also starting to get plenty of stick from their fans too.

It's a big test and a lot of it will come down to line-ups with both teams.
