Gary Sinclair has been at BDTBL for an eternity, and I have met him at his studio in Dronfield, and his passion never waivers. Song wise before and after, you cannot better "United" Judas Priest, or " Sandstorm" Darude, they take you to a next level, especially after walking out of the ground after a win. The announcer at the Lane when my dad took me to my first game in the 60's was Ian Ramsay, another top quality announcer! Happy days!

Meet Her At The Love Parade by Da Hool is an absolute BANGER that has become synonymous with a Bramall Lane pre match build up, I utterly love it.

It will be a sad, sad day when he stop playing it - long may it ring out at Beautiful Downtown Bramall Lane 🙌⚔️

Fully agree with that 👍 Find me a better track to PUMP up fans and player's alike !

Been the announcer since before my first ever match, never actually given any thought as to what it'll be like once he steps down!

Always been happy in my experience - some questionable choices during the Warnock days, but he definitely had his hands tied on that 😂

As cringe as it is to watch back on now, the 'der der der' tune when we scored brings back very fond memories. Even had my Dad play it at my 5-a-side footy birthday party as a kid when anybody scored 😂😂

Genuinely curious how/why people think Gary Sinclair is the person playing the music?

Do we think he has a magic clipboard that transmits music wirelessly around the ground?

Err no, but he's the person responsible for sound of any kind coming through the sound system? Wasn't aware people were going on like he's a one man band 🤔😂

Is he? 🤔 He's the stadium announcer, not sure why you'd think he's responsible for choosing all the music that's played?

I didn't say choose and neither did you... You said 'playing'.

The choice of what is played is an entirely different conversation

You said "he's the person responsible for sound of any kind coming through the sound system" - So if he's not playing it and not choosing it, in what way do you think he's responsible for it? 🤨

He presses play does he not?

Do you seriously think Gary Sinclair presses play on the music from on the pitch, where he stays with just a clipboard and microphone? 🤨 I can confirm he does not press play on the music.

As the announcer he is essentially the radio DJ, meaning the audio output is his responsibility

Erm no, it isn't. He's the stadium announcer so he's responsible for what comes out of his mouth.

The music and visuals for the screen are controlled by other people.

He (and others) most likely can have some input/suggest songs they'd like to be played at certain times, but it's not the Gary Sinclair show 🤷‍♂️

If I'm honest I don't really care and it sounds like you might be right.

As stated in the other thread we had the debate in, your sarcasm and condescending style is boring and I don't see the need for it?

Getting to the nitty gritty of all things Sheffield United in the wee hours..

Woah Dude, you just gave me a Father Christmas moment....
