Obviously we will just have to see.
But those views are not very good at all.

The experts, on the thread on him, in the Rumour Mill have gushed about how good he is and why we should sign him for over 4 years now. So maybe all the comments by people who've seen him in flesh are wrong, because all the people who make "suggestions" in the Rumour Mill are never wrong

Not exactly a ringing endorsement those views from.

Sounds very much like a new Monty. Wins the ball then gives it away. Still it also sounds like provided he isn't tasked with being anything creative then he can do a job as a midfield stopper. Basically a modern day Trevor Hockey who once he's won the ball, needs to give it to Hamer, O'Hare, or BBD. Hopefully he will make us more solid in the middle of the park.

This was Roy’s View From on another recent player:

No doubt t on his day he is a good player. Not many can argue we had to lwt him.go being a high earner and not playing many games”
“Unfortunately he cant stay consistently fit, and was one of our highest earners.”
“Everybody rates him, but he can barely do 90 minutes and is very lazy. “
“good on his day but not consistent enough in my eyes.”
“Poor mans Berbatov, but just more injury prone. Could light up a match with 2/3 touches of magic. Didn’t need to run or chase balls to prove his quality. It’s a shame, but as many others have said, it frees up a lot of wages. Best of luck to the chap. “
“He will be injured for 80 percent of his time as he was with us. Great game aren’t but attitude and effort lacking!”
“As soon as he gets a contract somewhere his injuries will start up again, only saying”
“Good riddance”
“Thank God he left”
“another of the lame and lazy should have gotten rid of 2 years ago IMHO”

David McGoldrick didn’t turn out too bad for us, did he? I hope this lad can step up to the plate.

I joked when we were first linked that Choudhury would help prevent play-off heartbreak this year, because of he played regularly he'd ensure we missed out altogether.

I would have been one of the nicer correspondents.

Well that went well! In short he's a poor man's Bobby Ford who is a bad egg!?

Well, he'll do for me!

Christ

If Cannon & Hamza were restaurants or hotels , with those write ups you wouldn't touch them with a bargepole. I really , really hope Mr Wilder knows what he's doing because the new owners won't show much patience if he starts taking us backwards with the investment they're making this Jan.

I wondered why had played so few games at his age… I think that just answered my question…

Thanks Roy,

… the one time I read the comments from the bottom up so I can read the good comments last, the order has switched up!

Grim reading, it's like we have signed Hammond.

Hopefully Leicester and Watford fans are being dramatic like Coventry over Fleck 😂.

According to some news article the other day we’re covering the lot as well, hope not.
From now until the end of June is 22 weeks, so that's £1.32mil in wages. Compared to paying £5mil for a fee for example then wages on top, this could be good value for money. If he plays...... and isn't bobbins!!!!

I'm sure there will be a loan fee on top but it'll still be cheaper than a permanent fee plus wages.

Agreed, but we likely wouldn’t have paid the £5m up front and we wouldn’t have paid him £60k a week (at least for this season), the only benefit is if he’s shit and we’re not lumbered with him.

Oh dear what have we done?

Wilder knows him well….as they worked together at Watford.
So we have no option but to trust Wilder….at least it’s not a blind/ hopeful punt.
Wilder knows exactly what he can offer and how his strengths benefit the team.

I'm not too concerned by these comments, I've seen plenty of Hamza Choudhury to know what he is and isn't.

I think he'll fit in well with us and the fans will take to him.

I share some of the concerns about what a Souza / Choudhury double-pivot brings in re: ball advancement... but it's an intriguing prospect.
Two dominant, hardworking, defensive midfielders, full of stamina and physical ability.
We certainly won't be a soft touch in the middle of the park.

The Nick Montgomery comparisons aren't unreasonable, but Choudhury is a bit better on the ball than that.
Don't expect a box to box player or a guy that creates anything.

Choudhury is a midfield shithouse.

Wilder is like Mrs Billy, as soon as she has a bit of money she spends it all on useless shite 🤣😉
